This writer is correct in that I should have explained the reason for my statement clearly, so here it is:
I am saying that Rav Amar is guilty, because EVERYBODY IN GOVERNMENT, INCLUDING THE CHIEF RABBIS, KNEW WHAT IS GOING ON, YET THEY CHOSE TO REMAIN SILENT. IS THIS NOT GUILT? AM I REALLY GUILTY OF LASHON HARA in this case?
I will be happy to retract my words, once the chief rabbis LEVEL with Am Yisrael about what's been going on, instead of playing the silence game required of them for their position - even resigning if necessary; and once they CONDEMN the government for kowtowing to the pope the way they do.
