The State Department's role in arming our P.A. enemies is suddenly coming to the fore; good, let the mask be off..... And, musings on Rav Eliashiv Z"L's passing.

B"H

The article below by Arlene Kuschner, thanks to Jack. The next one providentially also on the same topic: it seems Hashem wants the world to finally know the truth about the promoters of Arab terror in Judea and Samaria; this crime has been going on in secret for far too long. Put two and two together: the video of John Loftus I posted a few days ago:

 http://israeltruthtimes.blogspot.co.il/2012/07/relationship-between-wealthy-american.html

 ... and now this... I hope you get it.

 On another note: did you get enough shocks to your system today? Between Rav Eliashiv's passing, Z"L, ( Baruch Dayan Emet), Bulgaria, Syria, Sicily, the weather...Am Yisrael and the world are being shaken like a lettuce in a salad shaker!

... And look at another interesting coincidence: four years ago I wrote an post on Rav Eliashiv: well, guess what else was discussed in that post? Exactly the same thing: the topic of the U.S. arming the P.A., thereby promoting terror against us! It seems that in the upper realms Rav Eliashiv's passing is allowing this information to surface now; is he already helping us, the residents of Judea and Samaria, from the next world - or was his presence on earth blocking this information from being known? Was his earthly existence somehow sheltering the U.S., the State Department, various U.S. agencies and the Nazi sympathizers ensconced there, from Divine judgment, so millions of U.S. Jews could continue living in America unhindered and content? Whom else, what else did he protect? Has something changed drastically with his passing? We see in the Torah that with Aharon's and Miriam's deaths major changes occurred in the nation. Shall we see the same phenomenon here? Time will tell: already Shimon Peres is mourning him; curious....

"Shameful"

...My next topic is also with regard to shameful behavior.  But what I have in mind here is the behavior of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and she's beyond shame.

Credit: Telegraph UK
First she was in Egypt.  There, she not only met with President Morsi, but promoted this Muslim Brotherhood leader. In a thinly veiled statement, she suggested that the military pull back and allow a "civilian" administration to govern.  But the military is our best hope for stability in Egypt!  (See below as to how it may well be that the military truly is in charge.)

The Obama administration has responsibility for the downfall of Mubarak and the fact that there is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood in his place now.  You would think Obama would have learned a lesson with regard to meddling, but in fact it seems there's almost an eagerness to embrace the Brotherhood.
"We believe America’s shared strategic interests with Egypt far outnumber our differences," Clinton cooed.
~~~~~~~~~~
And then she willfully permitted an Egyptian misrepresentation of the Egyptian-Israeli peace agreement to pass.
This is what she said in an official statement (emphasis added):
"More than three decades ago, Egypt and Israel signed a treaty that has allowed a generation to grow up without knowing war. And on this foundation, we will work together to build a just, comprehensive, regional peace in the Middle East based on two states for two people with peace, security, and dignity for all."
What two states?
Well, in his statement, the foreign minister of Egypt said via an interpreter (again, emphasis added):
"I would like to add something about the peace treaty. Mr. President has repeatedly reaffirmed, and on all occasions, that Egypt continues to respect all treaties signed as long as the other party to the treaty respects the treaty itself. And today, he once again reiterated this issue and also reiterated that Egypt’s understanding of peace is that it should be comprehensive, exactly as stipulated in the treaty itself. And this also includes the Palestinians, of course, and its right to – their right have their own state on the land that was – the pre June 4th, 1967 borders (sic) with Jerusalem as its capital."
There's only one problem with this. The peace treaty with Egypt did not stipulate anything about Israel being required to grant the Palestinian Arabs a full state based on the '67 lines, with Jerusalem as its capital.  (I'll come back in due course to the exact wording of that agreement.) This is an addition by Morsi that gives him latitude to claim it is Israel that isn't honoring the treaty.
And not only did Clinton not correct this mis-statement, holding the Egyptians to their obligations according to the treaty, she parlayed this into a pitch for a Palestinian state.
~~~~~~~~~~

And there's more.  Now Clinton is in Israel.  She said all sorts of obligatory things about standing strong against Iran.  But, according to  Israeli officials, she also -- are you ready?? -- pressured Netanyahu and Barak to offer incentives to the PA to bring them back to the table.

Bad enough in any event.  Breathtakingly stupid, actually.  If Abbas needs "incentives" to come to the table to discuss "peace," it means he isn't interested in peace.  Are Obama and Clinton too obtuse to notice this, or don't they really care as long as there is the semblance of "peace negotiations"?

~~~~~~~~~~
There is not the remotest evidence that Abbas wants to come to the table.  I'm reading that the US is concerned because Hamas is seen to be gaining influence in Judea and Samaria; American officials believe that if Abbas makes progress on "peace" it will enhance his standing.
But they've got it absolutely backwards.  The populace of the PA territories has been making it clear that they are not looking for peace negotiations.  They rioted when Mofaz was to come meet with Abbas. (Those riots lasted some time and some analysts believe this means Abbas is losing his grip.)
~~~~~~~~~~

With this all, comes the most stunning piece of information: What I'm reading is that Clinton wants Israel to release PA prisoners and give the PA small arms.  Let me say this again: small arms.

If this is so, it is daft.  It is an outrage.

~~~~~~~~~~
This is also enormously interesting.  For I picked up this information on YNet, and, as is my practice, saved the URL so I might return to the article. But the information had been removed.
Searching the Internet, I accessed the Times of Israel article above, which did carry this information (assuming that when each of you accesses this URL it's still there).  The Times cites YNet as the original source.  I did not imagine it!
Was it removed from YNet because there had been an error, or because, as there is reason to suspect, the information, which might be considered of an "inflammatory" nature, was censored, perhaps informally?  No answers to this as yet.
~~~~~~~~~~

In any event, the notion of providing the PA with arms is grossly unreasonable.  There is a risk, at all times, of PA security forces turning their weapons on us -- there is precedent for this.

But under current conditions it is over the top.

Just four days ago, there was a report citing the outgoing commander of the Binyamin division, Col. Saar Tzur, who said that since the release of prisoners in the trade for Shalit, there has been a sharp increase in the number of attempted terror attacks.  There is a major point to be made here regarding the wisdom of doing such trades, but let's skip past that for the moment.

What Col. Tzur said, according to YNet, is that:

"...the Israel Defense Forces had to increase its activities in recent months due to the ongoing attempts between Hamas and Fatah to reach a reconciliation agreement, which has meant that the Palestinian Authority has cut down its operations against possible terrorist groups.

"Civilians don't notice it, but we're working a lot harder."

The PA is attempting to merge with the terrorist group Hamas, and is cutting back on its operations against terrorists, and we should give the PA weapons?

There is no need to say more -- except to point out that Obama definitely does not have Israel's back.

Op-Ed: US Jews Are Missing the Target in the Upcoming Election

Published: Wednesday, July 18, 2012 10:39 PM
As far as Israel is concerned, both candidates are not the problem. The State Department is.

A recent A7 article by a respected colleague of mine discussed Mitt Romney versus Barack Obama in the upcoming US presidential election.
The article pointed out how Romney discussed the potential appointment of James Baker as the US Secretary of State as a worrisome sign that Romney’s potential election could be fraught with problems. The article also pointed out President Obama’s long term relationship with assorted anti-Semites and Israel haters during his political career and personal life.
To be sure, Obama has proven himself to be a liar when it comes to Israel. In a pre-election speech before AIPAC, Obama stated that Jerusalem should be Israel’s undivided capital suggesting the US Embassy would be finally move there from Tel Aviv. Once elected, Obama did not do this.
Romney, on the other hand, has not even addressed this idea with a statement. That is, once elected, we can be sure he won’t move the US embassy to Jerusalem.
His advisors are discussing appointing the inane Condoleeza Rice as his Vice Presidential candidate. It was Rice, while serving as Former President Bush’s Secretary of State, who insisted Hamas be included in Palestinian elections that resulted in the creation of Hamastan where Gaza used to be, and that ushered in the missile crisis in the south.
Hillary Clinton, as Obama’s Secretary of State, has repeated her predecessor’s statement that the southern half of Israel should be part of a contiguous Palestinian state. The press nary batted an eye each time this was said.
Those with short memories might think that President George W. Bush was more pro-Israel. But Bush placed sanctions on Israel when it came to weapons at one time and was responsible for pulling Arafat out of the fire when Sharon had him surrounded in the Mukata with all his terror leaders. One F-16 could have put a final end to the PLO and Hamas’s terror control of the budding new Iranian proxy state rising next door to Israel. Instead, Israel is ever more at the precipice.
Neither of these presidential candidates will be good for Israel or for American Jews. The real target for Jewish media and Diaspora Jewry in particular should be Congress and the US State Department. Jews on both sides of the presidential election should be putting pressure on those entities.
The State Department is heavily influenced by Saudi and Gulf Sheik money. This even includes money from the PLO.
USAID funds the Palestinian welfare scam, as it always has, because Saudi influence encourages it to do so.
The so-called Arab Spring is a State Department plan to align the Muslim Brotherhood as the new boys on the block in the Arab states against their traditional enemies, the Shiites in Iran. This began under President Bush and is being carried out by President Obama. It will no doubt be carried forward by a President Romney unless people act.
As for Israel, as far as both candidates and the state department goes, she can twist in the wind. For now, Israel is secure since she is the only reliable US ally, a depot for weapons and medical support for US personnel in the event of regional war. Despite a distaste for “the Jews” by the US State Department, Israel still holds some materially strategic cards for the United States as the only democracy and safe haven for US forces.
Obama will probably be reelected. Not because he is the best man, but because he is the lesser of two evils. Republican acolytes fail to grasp that attacking national health care, something the United States should have had forty years ago, will only alienate the vast majority of voters who face bankruptcy if they get sick according to the current system.
The talk by either party of balancing the budget is just that: talk. Obama showed how much he cares about a balanced budget by yet again letting the State Department pour 450 million dollars into Abbas’ PLO welfare scam in the Palestinian Authority after a similar amount was sent to Hamastan - all this as the US Treasury faces more than a 14 trillion dollar deficit.
How many Israeli, and American Jews for that matter, know that a Palestinian U.S.-trained army is being built up under a State Department-controlled General Keith Dayton who has warned they will attack Israel within two years if the Arabs don ‘t get what they want?
Even if Romney gets elected, it is clear he will not change any of this course, a course that actually began under James Baker when he was Secretary of State.

The Saudis had their greatest successes against Israel with the Bush family in the White House, since they had personal connections to the Saudi royal family.
American Jews are more likely to vote because of national health care than because of what happens to Israel. Social programs for Americans are preeminent in their minds and that is why American Jews support Obama, except for ardent Jewish Republicans.
American Jews should be concentrating on working with Congress and lobbying both presidential candidates to rein in US State Department plans that put Israel at risk and waste American treasure.
The Saudis had their greatest successes against Israel with the Bush family in the White House, since they had personal connections to the Saudi royal family. This is continuing with Obama, as we see CAIR, the Hamas front, still has access to the halls of power in Washington.
American college campuses have had the last ten years to be part of a network to demonize Israel in the eyes of upcoming generations of Americans and that will only bolster the State Department’s goal of a Palestinian state as a sop to the Saudis no matter what the long term costs.
A consortium of Jews for Romney as well as Jews for Obama needs to call on both candidates in front of the media and demand they state what they intend to do about the US State Department expenditures and money for the Muslim Brotherhood if elected, and to outline a plan to stop USAID funding of Palestinian terrorism groups under the guise of “making peace.”
Today, the PLO’s chief lobbyist in Congress is the former US State Department consul for Jerusalem. who gave Arafat 40 million dollars of USAID money, then retired to work for Arafat for one million of those dollars a year. His name is Edward Abington.
Abington also testified on behalf of the Holyland Trial terrorism funders to try and get them off. Fortunately, government prosecutors were not so subject to monetary rewards and persuaded the jury to find those funders of Hamas guilty. Abington serves as an example of what is going on.
For this presidential election, the target should be the US State Department because regardless of who gets elected , the situation for Israel is going to be the same.

"START WITH THE VATICAN BANK; THAT PLACE IS OBSCENE!" The relationship between the Vatican, certain wealthy American families and Hitler during WWII on one hand, and the Vatican, certain wealthy leftist Peresite Israeli families and P.A./ Hamas on the other, is ongoing and identical.

This fantastic interview is a bombshell; there is so much information here, we have so much to learn from this video, it is the key to our riddles here in Israel: what on earth is going on? Who are the players? Who is benefiting from "peace"? Who is helping them? Whom are they helping? What is "peace" all about? Who is Hamas? Why is Peres doing what he is doing? We already knew about the direct connection between the Muslim Brotherhood and the Nazis, but this video sheds a completely new light on everything. We see that the Nazi- Vatican- wealthy elite triangle is persisting. And notice how Obama is involved in this triangle as well by inviting the Muslim Brotherhood to America, not to mention by embedding them into the White House as well.

"IT WAS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY": at 22:00, notice how the InfoWars interviewer coughs uncomfortably at this exposure of the Vatican, and quickly switches focus to the "Jew" Kissinger.

Edom's hands are dripping with blood. May Hashem pay them back in kind very soon.

Thank you Vicky, for contributing this video. And thank you, John Loftus, for exposing this truth! You are a righteous gentile; may God bless you and protect you. But let me ask you: don't you think you are a little bit biased in favor of the Democrats, which include Obama, the Muslim Brotherhood's dearest friend, and Hillary, their beloved too? What is your political agenda???

Fully revised and expanded, America's Nazi Secret by John Loftus reveals how the U.S. government permitted the illegal entry of Nazis into North America in the years following World War II. This extraordinary investigation exposes the secret section of the State Department that began, starting in 1948 and unbeknownst to Congress and the public until recently, to hire members of the puppet wartime government of Byelorussia—a region of the Soviet Union occupied by Nazi Germany. The author, a former Justice Department investigator, uncovered this stunning story in the files of several government agencies. The revised and expanded version includes a chapter previously banned from release by authorities and a foreword and afterword with recently declassified materials.

America's Nazi Secret is an insider's history of how the United States Department of Justice obstructed Congress by:

Blocking congressional investigations into famous American families who funded Hitler, Stalin and Arab terrorists.
Lying to Congress, the GAO, and the CIA about the postwar immigration of Eastern European Nazi war criminals to the US.
Concealing from the 9/11 investigators the role of the Arab Nazi war criminals in recruiting modern Middle Eastern terrorist groups.

Arab Nazis teach their kids that Jews kill Arab children to make Matzah for Passover... but meanwhile, who are the biggest consumers of Matzah in Israel? ... And....blood libel all the way to the U.N.; the U.S. joins the chorus by paying for it, and keeping mum.

MEANWHILE......
  • Israel - Matzo No Treat for Jews, But Israel's Arabs Love It

Published on: April 3rd, 2010 at 09:25 PM
News Source: AP
Israel - Many Jewish Israelis can't stand the stuff, so there's something mind-boggling about their Arab compatriots: Why in the world do they choose to eat matzoh?

Despite decades of uneasiness in their coexistence with the Jewish majority, Israel's Arabs have developed a love affair with matzoh, the dry, crunchy wafers that observant Jews eat as a substitute for leavened bread during the weeklong Passover holiday.

Weeks in advance, Arab-owned stores across Israel stock up on matzoh, knowing their customers will clean it out.

The matzoh craving among Israel's Arab citizens — about 20 percent of the population — reflects their ambiguous place in the Jewish state. While they speak Hebrew, carry Israeli passports and wear Israeli brands, many say they suffer discrimination and identify themselves as Palestinians.

Still, they love matzoh.

"We eat it from the start of the holiday to the end, and when we run out we buy more," said Umaima Igbaria, a 35-year-old Muslim woman who lugged a carton of matzoh out of a supermarket in the Arab town of Umm el-Fahm in northern Israel.

She said she, her husband and their three sons all eat matzoh, usually with tea and slathered with chocolate sauce. She said they didn't care if it was "Jewish food."

Inside the store, a 5-foot-tall (1.5-meter-tall) stack of matzoh boxes stood in the entryway, all that remained of the more than 4 tons that owner Tariq Ifin ordered for the holiday, which began Monday night. He had no doubts the rest would sell.

In the Passover tradition, matzoh commemorates the biblical story of the Jews fleeing Egypt so quickly they had no time to let their bread rise. Jews also consider matzoh poor man's bread, eaten to remind them of their ancestors' hardships. Few consider it a culinary delight.

"I don't like it much, but it's part of the holiday," said Simon Mizrahi, 44, an observant Jew from Jerusalem who eats his matzoh with soup, cheese or butter.

Mizrahi said matzoh doesn't fill him up like bread, and he worries its carbs will make him fat. Many other Jews share his ambivalence, recognizing its traditional role while saying they get tired of it.

To prevent matzoh burnout, many have developed alternative recipes. Some stir crushed matzoh into warm milk or coffee to make porridge. Others add an Italian twist, topping it with tomato sauce and cheese to make matzoh-pizza or substituting it for noodles to make matzoh lasagna, or "matzagna."

Outside of the holiday, few eat it and few stores stock it. Many say they wouldn't eat it if they had other options.

Thus their surprise when informed that Israel's Muslim and Christian Arabs — who don't observe Passover and can eat any bread they like — choose matzoh.

The answer to the mystery is simple, said Arabs in several mainly Arab towns in Israel. They just like the taste.

"The kids love it. They eat it like cookies," said Wisad Jamil, a 43-year-old woman lugging a carton of matzoh and tub of chocolate spread to her car for her husband and five kids at the Umm el-Fahm store.

"Don't the Jews eat our bread? Fine, we eat their matzoh," she said.

Indeed, the mixing goes both ways, with Arab dishes like hummus and felafel now favorites of Jewish Israelis. And during Passover, nonobservant Jews often turn to Arab shops for leavened bread, which disappears from most Jewish-owned stores in the season.

Ifin, the supermarket owner, said some of his Arab customers once refused matzoh on ideological grounds, though fewer do now because of years of mixing.

"You can't say Arabs and Jews are one people, but we share the same land, so why not share the same food?" Ifin said.

While Israel's 1.5 million Arabs hold citizenship and vote in elections, they strongly identify with their Palestinian brethren in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Most still call themselves Palestinians.

Palestinians in the territories and east Jerusalem largely don't share the matzoh craze, and shops there don't sell it. Israel captured the predominantly Arab east Jerusalem in the 1967 Mideast war, and Palestinians claim it as the capital of their future state.

"We don't like anything that comes from them," said Jerusalem taxi driver Firas Salem, 27, when asked if he ate matzoh.

"And besides," he said — expressing a sentiment shared by many Jews — "bread tastes better."

COMMENT:

So what does this tell you? Pushed to its extreme logic, it means that Arabs are CANNIBALS!

Of course I am kidding; the Arabs know perfectly well that they are not eating the blood of an Arab child when they bite into that chocolate-covered cracker.

So wouldn't simple morality dictate that they reprimand their brethren who spread such evil and deadly canards about Jews, Matzoh and Passover? (But why should they, when even the United States stays silent in the face of blood libel against Jews in Israel??? - below)

The story lodges itself in the hearts and minds of their " palestinian" family at a younger and younger age, and guarantees the next massacre of Jews by their brethren..

PS : the theory is also being proposed that many of those Matzah-eating Arabs are in fact, JEWS who converted to Islam but kept their ancient and secret customs throughout their generations.

  • Syrian Rep Promotes Blood Libel at UN Human Rights Council

And the U.S. stays silent.

This article by Anne Bayefsky appears today on WeeklyStandard.com

Meeting today in Geneva, the UN Human Rights Council heard the following statement from the Syrian representative, First Secretary Rania Al Rifaiy: “Israel…is a state that is built on hatred…Let me quote a song that a group of children on a school bus in Israel sing merrily as they go to school and I quote 'With my teeth I will rip your flesh. With my mouth I will suck your blood.'" The Obama administration chose to join this Council, the UN’s lead human rights body, and its representative was present. But they said nothing after hearing this blood libel.

On the contrary, rather than expose the Council and its anti-Jewish agenda, one of President Obama’s first foreign policy moves was a decision to pay for it. Hence, American taxpayers will pay 22 percent of the cost for this speech to be permanently posted on the UN website, translated and broadcast around the world.

There is a reason that none of the members of the UN Human Rights Council thought this statement was sufficiently repulsive or shocking to complain. The blood libel against the Jewish people is a calling card of UN proceedings, with UN members usually casting their anti-Semitism as vicious anti-Israel attacks. For instance, last week’s Council debate over the attempt by Turkish-backed extremists to break the Israeli blockade of Hamas-controlled Gaza included the following outbursts. Along with references to Israel’s desire for “bloodshed,” came Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua’s accusation that “the Zionist regime” conducted an “indescribable” and “brutal massacre.” Pakistan said Israel committed “crimes against humanity,” Algeria described Israelis as “butchers,” and Libya distributed a statement entitled “The Massacre Committed by the Zionist Entity Forces.”

The UN Human Rights Council has a webpage for all those who follow its proceedings. Although it is now in the midst of its fourteenth session, and has thousands of videos from its many meetings since 2006, smack in the middle of its home page is only one video link. It reads “Human Rights Council 12th session Highlights” and has a photo of Richard Goldstone. He is speaking about his libelous 2009 report that claimed Israel deliberately intended to murder civilians in the 2009 Gaza war rather than defend itself against eight years of rocket attacks.

In the chair during the Syrian statement today was Council President Alex Van Meeuwen of Belgium, who also said nothing, though he has no trouble finding his voice when it comes to objecting to statements from Israel or other states and NGOs which refer to less popular subjects. Today, following this statement by Canadian representative Jeffrey Heaton – “Canada condemns the lack of respect of the Burmese regime for human rights and fundamental freedoms of its population” – Van Meeuwen responded: “before moving to the next speaker, I would like to ask once again all speakers to refrain from using words such as regime in reference to member states and uphold to UN standards when referring to countries.”

In February after Israeli Ambassador Aharon Leshno-Yaar called upon Iranian leaders to cease denying the Holocaust, Van Meeuwen exceptionally intervened in the debate to chide: “I would like to remind all speakers of the importance to deal with human rights issues with dignity and respect and to and to adhere to the well-established principles of the United Nations.” But when it came to dehumanizing Israeli children, Van Meeuwen had only two words to say: “Thank you.”

There are no more excuses for President Obama to pretend that there is a greater good in lending American credibility to an international vehicle for anti-Semitism. It is time to leave the UN Human Rights Council and to ensure that not a single U.S. dollar is used to encourage its sickening agenda.

Fat, ugly, arrogant arab girl , "palestinian", has the gall, the chutzpah, to address David Horowitz in a jeering and derogatory tone in this U.C. San Diego appearance. Compare the Jewish gentleman and this arab ho.... the diamond and the donkey ! SIGN THE PETITION AGAINST HER.

Received from Jack, - thank you! - who wrote:

"And they are the ones who call the Israelis "Nazis"!

...Note that Hamas and Hezballah, and also Fatah and the PLO have their origins in the Muslim Brotherhood. That was formed in league with the Nazis. They developed together with the Nazis and their leader, the infamous Mufti, was a top Nazi official. The doctrine that they developed together is the pervasive propaganda line of the Arabs to this day. The Muslim Arabs, especially those who call themselves "Palestinians," approve of everything Hitler did and openly vow to complete his foul works but denounce the Israelis as "Nazis."

The Petition to try get the UC chancellors to condemn Jumanah Albahri's remarks as inflammatory hate speech: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/condemn-pro-genocide-speech-at-ucsd

UCSD Students Seek Official Condemnation of Pro-Holocaust Statement

May 20, 2010

A Muslim student's shocking support for a second Holocaust has prompted a petition drive to have the chancellor condemn the hate speech.
David Horowitz: “I am a Jew. The head of Hezbollah has said that he hopes that we will gather in Israel so he doesn’t have to hunt us down globally. … For it or against it?”
Jumanah Albahri: “For it.”
On May 10, 2010, Jumanah Albahri, an ex-officer of the Muslim Student Association (MSA) at the University of California-San Diego (UCSD), admitted during an event put on by Young Americans for Freedom and featuring David Horowitz as a speaker, that she supported a second Holocaust. During the exchange, Albahri also refused to condemn Hamas as a genocidal organization. This chilling exchange has by now made headlines around the country.
Albahri’s blatant support for genocide has sparked a backlash, prompting students to try and  get the UC chancellors to condemn her remarks as inflammatory hate speech. The movement has taken the form of a petition directed at UCSD Chancellor Marye Anne Fox. (The petition originated in a Facebook group named “Condemn UCSD MSA’s ex-Officer for Supporting 2nd Holocaust.”
Begun on May 13, the group has, in the course of a few days, swelled to nearly 600 members. It provides updates on the situation, including the press releases and statements released by the UCSD MSA, Chancellor Fox, and Albahri herself. Most importantly, of course, it provides a link to the petition asking Chancellor Fox (and potentially the other UC chancellors) to directly condemn Albahri’s pro-Holocaust statement.
On May 15, in a half-hearted damage control scramble, the UCSD MSA released a statement denouncing “all groups or organizations, whether state or non-state actors, who target civilians or target a civilian population to impose collective punishment.” The statement is very vague and non-committal, and does not even mention the incident or the people that elicited it. It then goes into an anti-Israel diatribe and a quote from Malcom X that is totally irrelevant to the situation in question. It is, for all intents and purposes, utterly meaningless.
Albahri, on May 16, released a statement via a new blog she set up titled “For Truth, For Justice, For Peace.” In her statement, Albahri attacks Horowitz as a “seasoned polemicist” who avoided her initial (and irrelevant) question and accuses him of turning the conversation around on her, which, of course, is something one must expect when leaping into these types of discussions. Albahri writes:
Towards the end of the exchange, I became emotional. I could no longer hear Mr. Horowitz speaking and so did not even hear his injection of Hezbollah’s credo of “rounding up” Jews in his last tangent. I could no longer contain my anger at being implicitly and improperly labeled a terrorist, an anti-Semite, and a proponent of genocide. The answer I was coerced into giving grossly misrepresented my beliefs and ideologies.
My answer, “for it,” in the context in which it was said does NOT mean “for” genocide. I was referring to his initial question that asked me for my position on Hamas, a topic that for his own political reasons he was relentless in pursuing. “For it” was not a legitimization of Hezbollah’s or anyone else’s credo for that matter that Jews should be exterminated. In fact, Mr. Horowitz’s intent was to entrap me with his barrage of questions so that he could avoid answering my question, and construe any answer that I would provide as anti-Semitic, genocidal hate speech in order to further his political agenda.
As everyone might have expected, and is sadly typical of the anti-Israel party, Albahri attempted to contort the situation in order to victimize herself. She seeks to turn the matter of supporting genocide into a complicated and multifaceted topic, when in reality it is one of the rare aspects of life that is black and white; you are either for or against it. There is no middle ground.
The claim that Horowitz emotionally abused Albahri is being trumpeted by the so-called “pro-Palestinians,” who have so far only defended and excused Albahri instead of condemning her flagrant support for genocide. And if that’s not enough, Albahri goes on to admit her own ignorance about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as well as expose her own hypocrisy about her support for Hamas:
In addition, Mr. Horowitz asked me to condemn Hamas as a genocidal organization; which to my limited knowledge on the subject, is another unsupported claim made by Mr. Horowitz.
My opinion of Hamas is not as simple as condemn or condone, “for it” or “against it.” I firmly believe that the killing of civilians … is one of the highest crimes in the eyes of God and is morally reprehensible and abhorrent. But I condone Hamas in its ambition to liberate the Palestinian people.
Albahri admits to her own “limited knowledge” while at the same time refuting the claim that Hamas is a genocidal organization. Any simpleton who has ever taken the time to read the Hamas charter or simply research the organization will find numerous statements within the charter blatantly propagating the extermination of Jews everywhere. Clearly, Albahri has yet to perform sufficient research on the conflict to be considered anything in the way of an informed participant. This begs a couple questions: Why did she think herself capable of standing up to David Horowitz, someone with much more experience and knowledge on the subject? Was it Albahri’s way of playing into the rebel stereotype, of standing up to authority despite her lack of credibility of which she is clearly unaware?
As for Albahri’s support of Hamas, she explicitly condemns the murder of innocent civilians and even alludes (barely) to the idea that Hamas is guilty of this. In her own words, killing civilians “is one of the highest crimes of God.” Wouldn’t it then follow that an organization that engages in criminal activity is, by logical extension, a criminal organization? One cannot say the mafia is not a criminal organization when it is plainly guilty of murder and theft. Likewise, Albahri, by her own logic, cannot say that Hamas is not a criminal organization when they engage in what she describes as “one of the highest crimes of God.” But I suppose such logical fallacies matter very little to her.
Albahri, for all her apparent passion for the Palestinian cause, is blind to her own hypocrisy and ignorance. This is true of most bandwagon Muslim radicals and anti-Israelis. While I doubt the sincerity of Albahri’s “apology,” the sincerity of her pro-genocide comment does not matter. Propagation of genocide has absolutely no place in our society, much less in our schools.
