In 1989 I was invited to the "knighting" of two of the largest land owners in New Mexico controlling millions of acres.
Both were elected President of the Albuquerque City Council and NM's Legislature.
The King of Spain came to New Mexico for the purpose and with him the Church top layers.
It was a huge occasion but not at all reported in the National media...
