PA Homosexual Allowed to Stay in Tel Aviv
(IsraelNN.com) A homosexual man from the city of Jenin in Samaria has been granted a permit to live in Tel Aviv. While security services are usually wary of granting residency permits to Palestinian Authority Arab men in their 20s and 30s, the man was granted leniency due to fears that he could be killed if forced to return to Jenin.
The man's lawyer explained that his client had received death threats due to his homosexuality, and argued that a return to PA-controlled territories would put his client in real and immediate danger. The Interior Ministry agreed to grant the man temporary residency status.
