ISRAEL TRUTH TIMES

A blog dedicated to investigating events as they occur in Judea and Samaria, in Israel and in the world, and as they relate to global powers and/or to the Israeli government, public figures, etc. It is dedicated to uncovering the truth behind the headlines; and in so doing, it strives to do its part in saving Judea and Samaria, and by extension, Israel and the Jewish People, from utter destruction at the hands of its many external and internal enemies.

Re: CORRECTION: FOR MANY URGENT NEEDS IN ISRAEL - WHAT TO DO!

Gail,

I used to work with Hadassah Marcus and the Central Fund for Israel. She knows me, I used to work under the name: Am Yisrael Chai Campaign. I stopped because I now live in Israel, and most people send their checks to the US. It went for similar projects.

If YOU, or someone in the US, is willing to take on the challenge, and receive the checks at their address under the heading:

the Central Fund for Israel, Am Yisrael Chai campaign,

then the checks could be sent to you or your associates, at the address that you decide.

The only thing is, I would also like to donate some of that money for the STONE -PROOFING OF  CAR WINDOWS IN YESHA, that the government just decided to stop funding.

I think this is an essential protection, and it is criminal to withdraw that from poor drivers.

I'd suggest to provide it  case by case , depending on the family's circumstances.

What do you say? What does everybody else say??

DS

maybe if you and I pooled resources, you with your huge advertising ability, me with my Fund, we could do it.

I'll send this to my list, see what they say.

in case you refuse, maybe some of the others might decide to pitch in instead.

Dear Friends,  I have made a BIG  mistake.  I shouldn't have volunteered the Central Fund for Israel to receive what I hope would have been an avanlanche of contributions.  They have only 4 volunteers who handle these checks and cannot receive an additional inpouring.   IF it came to a volunteer organization, and was then forwarded to The Central Fund, it could have been done, BUT, not 'en masse'.

Again, I have very sorry to have to withdraw this concept of aiding all those needy organizations in Israel who are striving to defend, educate, help those under attack.

All the best.   Gail Winston

Update! March 26, 2008 12 PM

Many have written to ask how to send money for The New Guardians of Israel. The best way to contribute to any of the many deserving and needy groups who are trying to defend themselves and other Jews who are being persecuted or attacked in Israel is to send a 501-C3 tax-deductible contribution to THE CENTRAL FUND FOR ISRAEL, attn: Hadassah Marcus, 980 6th Avenue 3rd Floor, New York, NY. 10018. BE SURE TO MARK IN THE MEMO the name of the organization. All monies - every penny - is sent quickly & efficiently to those in need.

For the issue in this article memo to : "Hashomer Hayisraeli Hahadash" - or the "New Israeli Guardsmen".

There are many other urgent needs in Israel.  When you are so moved, send your contribution to THE CENTRAL FUND FOR ISRAEL, mark the memo for the NEED you wish to assist.`

THE NEW GUARDIANS OF ISRAEL by CAROLINE GLICK , JERUSALEM POST Mar. 24, 2008

Regrettably, Israelis can no longer rely upon their Government, the Police or the Army. We are back to the earliest days when Israeli farmers had to go on night patrols to protect the Land and livestock from being stolen by the Muslim Arabs. Comments by Emanuel Winston
