Terrorist's Son Expresses Pride, Jew Hatred
(IsraelNN.com) Shehadeh Shehadeh, the son of senior Islamic Jihad terrorist Muhamad Shehadeh, expressed pride in his father and hatred of Jews in an interview with Haaretz on Tuesday. Shehadeh compared his "martyr" father to the famous slain Islamic warrior Imam Hussein, who died in battle in approximately 680 CE. He denounced Jews, saying they "killed the prophets," but said members of the anti-Zionist Neturei Karta sect who supported Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad and arch-terrorist Yasser Arafat were "all right."
Shehadeh said his family is now entirely Shi'ite, after having been raised as Sunni Muslims like most Palestinian Authority Arabs. Several other senior members of Islamic Jihad are Shi'ite now as well, he said. Muhamad Shehadeh was not a member of Hizbullah, although the group did offer him financial support, he said.
The senior Shehadeh was killed last week in a Border Police operation in Bethlehem. Three other terrorists died in the operation as well. Shehadeh was wrapped in a Hizbullah flag at his funeral.
