Police Officers: Jerusalem Chief Has no Answers
(IsraelNN.com) Police officers in the Jerusalem District slammed Chief Aharon Franco Tuesday, saying he had no answers to even basic questions he was asked regarding the terrorist attack on the Merkaz HaRav Kook Yeshiva last Thursday.
Franco presented the initial results of an investigation into the massacre, but spent little time discussing the incident. Senior officers told Haaretz that the police chief was unable to answer many questions posed at the meeting.
A question was raised as to how off-duty IDF officer David Shapira was able to obtain a special detective's hat that he wore while in the yeshiva. There were concerns that he was given the hat by a police detective or other police officer who first reached the scene and did not want to confront the terrorist himself.
