Very interesting and moving. Good post, Jack. Thank you. So I guess this Ford Foundation funding is a blessing in disguise??? The question is, how many people does it mislead, the same way the Reform movement misled so many thousands of people?

"SECULAR PRAYER (What can they possibly pray to, if there is no God, according to them??),"
Been there, done that, DS. I was an atheist in 1967. When the Six Day War broke out, I knew that according to the best available intelligence at the time, it was bound to be a protracted conflict with lots of blood and it was not at all certain that Israel would win. I prayed for Israel's deliverance. To whom did I pray? I don't really know. To Whom It May Concern, I suppose.
The Renewal folks are in for a bit of a surprise. I'm surprised they have not yet noticed it but doing things because they are Jewish leads to doing other Jewish things. "The recompense of a mitzvah is another mitzvah" and another and another. It is also axiomatic in Judaism that one who searches in truth will find the Truth. I know several fine Jews, totally committed to Torah and Halakha, who started out in Jewish Renewal and I don't even want to think about some of the low trips I was into along the way.
Keep walking, folks. Kedushah just keeps walking. And keep the truth in front of them where they can find it.
