Young Israel:Synagogue Safety is Top Priority
(IsraelNN.com) In response to the deadly shooting at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, the president of a major American synagogue organization stated that the shootings "serve as a sobering reminder that hatred and bigotry still exist in our neighborhoods and communities."
National Council of Young Israel President Shlomo Z. Mostofsky, Esq. said that the gunman's choice of shooting at a Holocaust memorial "single-handedly undermined the virtues and ideals that the memorial was established to promote."
In light of the shooting in the U.S. capital, Young Israel urges synagogues "to remain vigilant" and to conduct a security review to ensure that the safety of their congregants remains top priority.
Guard Killed at Washington Holocaust Museum
(IsraelNN.com) A white supremacist shot and killed a guard at the Washington Holocaust Museum on Wednesday near the main entrance. The attacker, armed with a rifle, was wounded.
Police identified the killer as James von Brunn, who previously has served time in jail for felonies.
Visitors to the museum were evacuated immediately after the attack.
The D.C. Holocaust Museum draws over 1.5 million visitors each year. Guards are stationed in front of the museum, and visitors are required to pass through a metal detector. Police who spoke to journalists were not sure if Von Brunn had managed to sneak a gun through the entrance, or if he had opened fire before passing through security.
In July 2006, a gunman opened fire in a Jewish center in Seattle. One woman was murdered and five others were wounded. The gunman, an American Muslim of Pakistani descent, said he carried out the attack because he blamed Jews for the American war in Iraq and subsequent Muslim suffering.

User: James W. von Brunn, b.1920, attempted to place the Federal Resrve Board of Governors under legal, non-violent citizens arrest, 12-7-81. Von Brunn charged the FED with treason and other high crimes. The FED, a private stock-company, owned by International bankers, financed the construction of manufacturing plants in the Soviet Union during the "Cold War." War materials, produced by FED financed plants, were used by the Enemy against American military forces in Viet Nam, and elsewhere.
Von Brunn was tried and convicted by a Washington, D.C. kangaroo court; then sentenced to eleven years in federal prison by Judge Harriet Rosen Taylor; the sentence was confirmed by a racially motivated Appeals Court. Von Brunn was imprisoned for 6.5-years.
Von Brunn champions Western Culture,and the practice of Eugenics. He states that Marxism-Multiculturalism-Judaism is the Enemy of Mankind.citing Talmudic quotes to "Kill the Best Gentiles !"
Von Brunn was president of his college fraternity, SAE. He served as PT-Boat captain, USNR, during WW2, earning 4-battle stars and a Commendation Ribbon. His early business career was in NYC as copywriter, art-director and film producer; later as a real-estate broker; and lastly as a writer-artist.

1.I wonder if his age had something to do with it - 88 in supremacists circles stands for HH which is Heil Hilter - a lot of the racists skinheads I've seen from the Southern Poverty Law Center have tattoos of 88.. I'm just saying
2.I recommend that any of you that are concerned check out anti hate groups like splc - http://www.splcenter.org. There's some scary hate-filled folks out there.3.How did this old man get the guns into the museum in the first place? You can't even get a firearm into a supermarket without the alarm sounding.
Finally: THEY will not tell you that all this focus on Jews and Israel this past week was bound to get some raging antisemites fired up. Of course they will not take responsibility. But it doesn't make it less THEIR FAULT.
