Re: TSAFRIR RONEN Z'L A request for financial help for his family, by some friends of his.... which I am passing on.

DS, please pass to your email list. This is a HUGE miztvah, he spent all his time fighting for Israel the last few years. His family lived on the limited income his wife brought in as a nurse. Now they can really use the help as it will take her a while to get back on her feet....

Honour his work by making a contribution. Please.

Tsafrir Ronen Z'L is gone but his work and dependents remain. He devoted his life to Klal Yisroel and Eretz Yisroel so much so that he neglected to earn a proper living.
His friends have decided to raise $50,000 to help his wife Judy and three daughters.
$20,000 has already been raised. All tax deductible.
Please stand up and be counted. All contributions will be welcomed. Show your appreciation.
Please make your check out to Central Fund of Israel -

Remembering a Passionate Supporter of Israel - Tsafrir Ronen (Updated)

Posted in December 29th, 2008
Eretz Israel Shelanu's latest email noted the passing of Tsfrir Ronen, "A well-known Eretz Yisrael activist, passed away suddenly on Shabbat. This is a great loss for all of us."  We agree.  In almost every interview one can hear Mr. Ronen referring to "the Bible" and the fact that G-d gave Eretz Israel to the Jewish people.  A point well taken even in these perilous times.
Genesis 13:17 "Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee."
Israel National posted a tribute to Mr. Ronen which surely shows his love and concern for "Eretz Israel":
Israpundit called Mr. Ronen - "a man on a mission - to save Israel from itself",  referring to an article by Jerry Gordon  in 2006.
Eve Harrow of Israel National Radio interviewed Mr. Ronen last July about "the true identity of the land disputed between Jews and Arabs." via YouTubeHEREIsrael National TV has a short clip at YouTube from this year's Chanuka where Mr. Ronen explained the true meaning of  Hanukkah: "Ascending to Migron for Chanukah".
Mr. Ronen's Blog and insightful articles are HERE.  See "Hadrian's Curse" and Battle Over The Identity Of Eretz Yisrael By: Tzafrir Ronen.
Listen to an audio interview at HERE which said.. "We need more to speak openly and with passion like this…".
UPDATE:  Caroline Glick wrote about Mr. Ronen in "Patriots and false patriots"
"…MARGINALIZING AND silencing voices like Tzafrir's is one of the Israeli Left's greatest achievements. By consistently ignoring or demonizing voices like Tzafrir's - who have been correct about every major strategic issue facing the country - while steadfastly legitimizing and lionizing men and women like Amos Oz, Shulamit Aloni, Yossi Beilin and Haim Ramon - who not only have been wrong about every major issue in the past generation, but have also often taken leading roles in our enemies' propaganda campaigns - the Left has managed to remove our most vibrant thinkers and bravest builders and fighters from the national debate.
But the hundreds who crowded into the cemetery on Sunday are proof that the Left's success has been far from complete. The mourners at his funeral included Israelis from all walks of life — religious, secular, farmers, city dwellers, Jews, non-Jews, new olim and sabras. The fact that people from such diverse backgrounds and traditions have found the way to work with one another shows that in spite of the demonization of the Right, people are still interested in defending and building the country. They are still are drawn to voices in the wilderness, like Tzafrir's, which say that we must fight, and win, and that we deserve to win and should feel privileged to fight for what is right. …"  Read the whole article

Thank you, Susan, that is nice of you. Yes, please, by all means, join the club. That's the idea - enlarging our circle of like-minded friends; hopefully we can then make a difference.

All the power to you.
