Olmert's Government Authorizes A Stamp Commemorating the Katif Region

Olmert's government authorizes a new stamp commemorating the Katif Region that it ordered to demolish and has not rendered any solution to the hundreds of Jewish families that had been exiled from there by the IDF.

The stamp carries Amos's prophesy, "… and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land" (Chapter 9, 15). It might be interpreted as a promise not to displace them again – a rain check that cannot be taken seriously as everyone knows the signatory's bad record of reckless disregard of truth.

The stamp is supposedly commemorating 35 years of Jewish settlement in the Katif Region.

As of now, most of the displaced Jewish families from Katif are still in camps all over Israel. Their ruined houses and villages are used by the Palestinians to fire rockets on Israeli towns.

This cynical act of Olmert's failing government is following Bolshevik and Nazi propaganda routes.

The issuance of this stamp reminds me of the infamous story about the kid that killed his parents and asks for mercy because he's an orphan.
