Disengagement Protester Faces Eight-Year Sentence Sun.
(IsraelNN.com) Mordechai Harel, a father of six, will be sentenced Sunday for plans to disrupt traffic on one of Israel's main roads in the days leading up to the implementation of the Disengagement Plan in 2005.
Harel, a Talmud teacher in Havat Gilad who was among the founders of the Ramat Gan hesder yeshiva, was arrested and accused of planning to burn a car on Tel Aviv's Ayalon Expressway.
He faces up to eight years in prison. His fate lies in the hands of an Israeli-Arab judge.
