IDF: We Take Yesha Residents' Alerts Seriously
(IsraelNN.com) The IDF denied Friday that it did not take seriously alerts received from Jewish residents of Yesha, regarding rock throwing incidents and other terror attacks. The announcement followed a complaint by Gershon Masika, the Shomron Regional Council Head.
"The IDF regards settler alerts regarding hostile terror activity with in a fully serious manner and encourages this kind of communication with the settlers," the IDF Spokesman announced.
The Spokesman's Unit added: "Around noon yesterday, an Israeli citizen was lightly injured from rocks that were thrown at his vehicle near Awarta, south of Shechem. Following the settlers' call, an IDF force reached the spot quickly and gave first aid to the citizen, who was later taken to a hospital for medical care."
