Arabs Throw Rocks at Drivers, Firefighters

Firefighters who were called in the Arab village of Daburiyah in the north were greeted with rocks as they tried to put out a blaze that had broken out in a warehouse. After numerous attempts to approach the building, they succeeded and were able to put out the fire.
Rocks were also thrown by Arabs at Israeli cars Saturday night on Road 77, near the Movil junction. Police closed the road for several minutes but were unable to catch the perpetrators, as the rock throwers ran away after police arrived on the scene. A woman was injured in one of the attacks. Police officials at the Nazareth station said they were taking the incident very seriously. "This is a new situation for us, the first time rocks have been thrown in this area, and we are doing everything we can to catch the culprits," a police spokesperson said.
