Government Agrees to Register JNF Land to Arabs

(IsraelNN.com) The government has agreed to transfer JNF land in Karmiel to the ownership of Arabs. Minister of Construction and Housing Ze'ev Boim has instructed the Israel Lands Authority to register apartments built on JNF land in the Jewish Galilean town in the name of Arabs.

The decision was made in response to a challenge by MK Ibrahim Sarsur, according to IDF Army Radio.

Sarsur said: "I hope that this is the beginning of a process that will lead to equality between all residents of Israel, and that every Israeli citizen will be able to enjoy ownership of the state's land, that is supposed to serve all of its residents without difference."
