Blair Tells Peres PA Needs More Money
(IsraelNN.com) Visiting Quartet Middle East envoy Tony Blair, formerly Prime Minister of Britain, told President Shimon Peres Wednesday morning that giving more money to the Palestinian Authority (PA) will advance negotiations towards a new Arab state. Prosperity would ''better the chances of getting people to find a way through the political difficulties and reach an agreement," he added.
Two leaders also discussed continuing rocket attacks on Negev and the situation of Gaza residents. As they met, Arabs in Gaza fired rockets on Israel, and the IDF responded with an attack that wounded four Hamas terrorists.
