Soldier Dies at Negev Air Force Base

(IsraelNN.com) An Israel Air Force soldier suddenly collapsed and died late Wednesday night while studying material he was learning n a course. He finished basic training one week ago and was not involved in any physical activity when he collapsed, the IDF said.

Officials suspect that the soldier, whose name has not yet been released for publication, may have had a previously unknown medical problem. Efforts to resuscitate him failed, and a helicopter flew him to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
