Blair, Yesha Leaders Meet in J'lem

(IsraelNN.com) Yesha leaders told former British Prime Minister Tony Blair Saturday night that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has no mandate to negotiate the abandonment of Jewish lands in Judea and Samaria.

Meeting at a Jerusalem hotel, Yesha Council head Danny Dayan told Blair  - now the Middle East envoy for the United States, European Union, Russia and the United Nations – that moves to destroy Jewish communities in Judea and Samaia are illegitimate. However, Blair rejected the claim, saying "nothing can stop the relaunching of the peace process."

The meeting was significant because Blair was the highest-ranking international official to meet with Yesha leaders to date.
