Corruption in the U.S: big, big!

Thanks, Milton.

By MICHELLE MALKIN
12/23/2009

Sleazy bribes and pork payoffs didn't start with our government's health care takeover bill.

Go back to January and February.

According to a new study from George Mason University, Democratic districts have raked in nearly twice as much porkulus money as GOP districts — without regard to the actual economic suffering and job loss in those districts. In fact, the researchers found that far more stimulus money went to higher-income areas than to lower-income areas.

That includes Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's backyard — where a $54 million no-bid contract was awarded to a firm with little experience to relocate a luxury Bay Area wine train due to flood concerns.

And it includes Barack Obama's home state of Illinois, which reaped the single biggest earmark — $1 billion for the FutureGen near-zero emissions "clean coal" plant earmark championed by disgraced Democrat and former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich and Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin.

And it includes Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's backyard — where he secured billions in high-speed rail stimulus earmarks from which he plans to fund a pie-in-the-sky public transportation line from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.

When taxpayers objected to business as usual masquerading as economic recovery, New York Democratic Sen. Charles Schumer sneered: "You lost." He jibed on the Senate floor while wagging a grubby finger, "And let me say this to all of the chattering class that so much focuses on those little, tiny, yes, porky amendments: The American people really don't care."

The "American people" Schumer was referring to, of course, were the privileged minority of stimulus beneficiaries — not the rest of us "chattering" dissenters stuck with the bill for those billions in "little, tiny, yes, porky amendments."

No legislation has been immune to congressional shakedown.

After the Congressional Black Caucus balked loudly enough, Democratic Rep. Barney Frank — chairman of the House Financial Services Committee — larded up the majority's Wall Street regulatory "reform" bill with $4 billion in payoffs to minority special interests — including former failed Air America radio partner Inner City Broadcasting Corp.

The cash-strapped firm is run by Percy Sutton, a New York City crony of Charlie Rangel's and Al Sharpton's. The money will come out of the ever-morphing TARP bank bailout fund — which went from a toxic assets purchase plan to a capital injection plan, back to a toxic assets purchase plan, then to a life insurance company bailout and on to an auto-supplier bailout.

Leading the charge for the Cash for Cronies of Color drive: California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters, who had already extracted $12 million in TARP funds for OneUnited, a minority-owned bank that is one of her key campaign donors and a company in which both Waters and her husband own massive amounts of stock.

Which brings us to the wealth redistribution scheme disguised as health reform.

In addition to the infamous $300 million "Louisiana Purchase" for Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu and the (at least) $45 million "Cornhusker Kickback" for sellout Democratic Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska, Reid threw around other, less-publicized gobs of cash for cloture votes to cut off debate and ram the bill through.

He tossed in a Hospital Helper of $100 million to Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., whose re-election bid is in hot water. There are bennies for insurance companies and hospitals in Michigan, and "frontier freebies" for hospitals in Montana, South Dakota, North Dakota and Wyoming.

Combined with Nebraska's tab, the exclusive clique's payoffs will cost taxpayers at least $1.2 billion over 10 years.

There's also an Acorn/community organizer-friendly provision for minority health bureaucracies that was sought by Sen. Roland Burris, D-Ill. And there's a $10 billion socialized medicine sop to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders for "community health clinics" serving in essence as universal health care satellite offices.

"We are talking about a revolution," Sanders enthused during the Senate's sneaky Sunday session.

Danish Immigration Requirements : MUSLIM HORDES AT THE GATES!

Muslim hordes at the gates!
Australia is rushing towards the same problems as Denmark.  Once our Muslim population gets to 2% we will face the same threats.

Salute the Danish Flag - it's a Symbol of  Western Freedom By Susan MacAllen

In 1978-9 I was living and studying in Denmark. But in 1978 - even in Copenhagen, one didn't see Muslim immigrants.
The Danish population embraced visitors, celebrated the exotic, went
out of its way to protect each of its citizens. It was proud of its new brand of socialist liberalism won in development since the conservatives had lost power in 1929 - a system where no worker had to struggle to survive, where one ultimately could count upon the state as in, perhaps, no other western nation at the time.

The rest of Europe saw the Scandinavians as free-thinking, progressive and infinitely generous in their welfare policies. Denmark boasted low crime rates, devotion to the environment, a superior educational system and a history of humanitarianism.

Denmark was also most generous in its immigration policies - it  offered the best welcome in Europe to the new immigrant: generous welfare payments from first arrival plus additional perks in transportation, housing and education. It was determined to set a world example for inclusiveness and multiculturalism. How could it have predicted that one day in 2005 a series of political cartoons in a newspaper would spark violence that would leave dozens dead in the streets -all because its commitment to multiculturalism would come back to bite?

By the 1990's the growing urban Muslim population was obvious - and its unwillingness to integrate into Danish society was obvious. Years of immigrants had settled into Muslim-exclusive enclaves. As the Muslim leadership became more vocal about what they considered the decadence of Denmark's liberal way of life, the Danes - once so welcoming - began to feel slighted. Many Danes had begun to see Islam as incompatible with their  long-standing values: belief in personal liberty and free speech, in equality for women, in tolerance for other ethnic groups, and a deep pride in Danish heritage and history.

An article by Daniel Pipes and Lars Hedegaard, in which they forecasted accurately that the growing immigrant   problem in Denmark would explode. In the article they reported:
'Muslim immigrants constitute 5 percent of the population but consume  upwards of 40 percent of the welfare spending.' 'Muslims are only 4 percent of Denmark's 5.4 million people but makeup a majority of the country's convicted rapists, an especially combustible issue given that practically all the female victims are non-Muslim. Similar, if lesser, disproportions are found in other crimes.'

'Over time, as Muslim immigrants increase in numbers, they wish less  to mix with the indigenous population. A recent survey finds that only 5 percent of young Muslim immigrants  would readily marry a Dane.'

'Forced marriages - promising a newborn daughter in Denmark to a male cousin in the home country, then compelling her to marry him, sometimes on pain of death - are one problem''Muslim leaders openly declare their goal of introducing Islamic law once Denmark's Muslim population grows large enough - a not-that-remote prospect. If present trends persist, one sociologist estimates, every third inhabitant of Denmark in 40 years will be Muslim.'

It is easy to understand why a growing number of Danes would feel that  Muslim immigrants show little respect for Danish values and laws. An example is the phenomenon common to other European countries and Canada .: some Muslims in Denmark who opted to leave the Muslim faith have been murdered in the name of Islam, while others hide in fear for their lives. Jews are also threatened and harassed openly by Muslim leaders in Denmark, a country where once Christian citizens worked to smuggle out nearly all of their 7,000 Jews by night to Sweden - before the Nazis could invade. I think of my Danish friend Elsa - who as a teenager had dreaded crossing the street to the bakery every morning under the eyes of occupying Nazi soldiers - and I wonder what she would say today.

In 2001, Denmark elected the most conservative government in some 70 years - one that had some decidedly non-generous ideas about liberal unfettered immigration. Today Denmark has the strictest immigration policies in Europe. ( Its effort to protect itself has been met with accusations of 'racism' by liberal media across Europe - even as other governments struggle to right the social problems wrought by years of too-lax immigration.)

If you wish to become Danish, you must attend three years of language classes. You must pass a test on Denmark's history, culture, and a Danish  language test : You must live in Denmark for 7 years before applying for citizenship. You must demonstrate intent to work, and have a job waiting. If you wish to bring a spouse into Denmark, you must both be over 24 years of age, and you won't find it so easy anymore to move your friends and family to Denmark with you. You will not be allowed to build a mosque in Copenhagen. Although your children have a choice of some 30 Arabic culture and language schools in Denmark, they will be strongly encouraged to assimilate to Danish society  in ways that past immigrants weren't.

In 2006, the Danish minister for employment, Claus Hjort Frederiksen, spoke publicly of the burden of Muslim immigrants on the Danish welfare system, and it was horrifying: the government's welfare committee had calculated that if immigration from Third World countries were blocked, 75 percent of the cuts needed to sustain the huge welfare system in coming decades would be unnecessary. In other words, the welfare system as it existed was being exploited by immigrants to the point of eventually bankrupting the government. 'We are simply forced to adopt a new policy on immigration.

The calculations of the welfare committee are terrifying and show how  unsuccessful the integration of immigrants has been up to now,' he said. A large thorn in the side of Denmark's imams is the Minister of  Immigration and Integration, Rikke Hvilshoj. She makes no bones about the new policy toward immigration, 'The number of foreigners coming to the country makes a difference,' Hvilshoj says, 'There is an inverse correlation between how many come here and how well we can receive the foreigners that come.' And on Muslim immigrants needing to demonstrate a willingness to blend in, 'In my view, Denmark should be a country with room for different cultures and religions. Some values, however, are more important than others. We refuse to question democracy, equal rights, and freedom of speech.'

Hvilshoj has paid a price for her show of backbone. Perhaps to test her resolve, the leading radical imam in Denmark, Ahmed Abdel Rahman Abu Laban, demanded that the government pay blood money to the family of a Muslim who was murdered in a suburb of Copenhagen, stating that the family's thirst for revenge could be thwarted for money. When Hvilshoj dismissed his demand, he argued that in Muslim culture the payment of retribution money was common, to which Hvilshoj replied that what is done in a Muslim country is not necessarily what is done in Denmark.

The Muslim reply came soon after: her house was torched while she, her husband and children slept. All managed to escape unharmed, but she and her family were moved to a secret location and she and other ministers were assigned bodyguards for the first time - in a country where such murderous violence was once so scarce.

Her government has slid to the right, and her borders have tightened. Many believe that what happens in the next decade will determine  whether Denmark survives as a bastion of good living, humane thinking and  social responsibility, or whether it becomes a nation at civil war with supporters of Sharia law.

And meanwhile, Canadians clamor for stricter immigration policies, and demand an end to state welfare programs that allow many immigrants to live on the public dole. As we in Australia and in Canada and in the US look at the enclaves of Muslims amongst us, and see those who enter our shores too easily, dare live on our taxes, yet refuse to embrace our culture, respect our traditions, participate in our legal system, obey our laws, speak our language, appreciate our history
.. . we would do well to look to Denmark, and say a prayer for her future and for our own..

 Please pass it on..

And to finish, a little humor, but very true.

How truly "mentally imbalanced" is Susanna Maiolo, the young woman who knocked down the pope and one of his cardinals on Xmas Eve in the Vatican?

 B"H

THIS is a picture of the young woman who jumped and tackled Benedikt XVI on Xmas eve in the Vatican.

It is easy to dismiss her actions as proof of her "mental imbalance". So what if she was on psychotropic medications? Just recently a young actress of Hollywood, Brittany Murphy, who died suddenly, was found to have a slew of medications in her home, including some psychotropic drugs, yet nobody rushed to called her "mentally imbalanced". It is all a matter of perception, I guess: a public enemy is "imbalanced", while a public darling is not. And frankly, for a mentally imbalanced person she planned her attack very well, repeating her feat two years in a row; she is well coordinated, athletic, and must have practiced this jump for a long time to be able to perform it so perfectly two nights ago.

Notice how the Vatican promptly had her admitted to a psychiatric hospital for "MEDICAL" treatment, in proud Gulag tradition.

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/26/world/europe/26pope.html?8au&emc=au

"The assailant, identified by the Vatican as Susanna Maiolo, a 25-year-old Swiss-Italian national with a history of mental problems, was held for questioning and hospitalized in Rome. She was not under formal arrest, and it was unclear whether she would face charges."

No.What we are dealing with here is very likely, - at least this is how it appears to me, - the same selective "mental imbalance" attributed to the UK mother who refused H1N1 vaccination for her child; the same 'mental imbalance" attributed to opponents of the NWO, to various politically incorrect 'conspiracy theorists', etc. etc. Until we get more medical details, it will be impossible to determine what exactly this young woman's diagnosis is, IF she has one at all ( and of course, it is very easy for the Vatican to hide behind the issue of medical confidentiality in order to avoid further questioning by inquiring minds).

This episode is EXTREMELY EMBARRASSING for the Catholic Church and for the pope, happening on the day of his expected glory, a day in which he is supposed to have the ABILITY TO FORGIVE SINS, during his Urbi and Orbi address, and while symbolically losing his miter and staff in the fall ;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urbi_et_Orbi

so it seems they had to denigrate her publicly, and put her away immediately, before she could give interviews to the press and reveal her true motives.

I beg your pardon: a man, able to forgive sins? Who does he think he is? GOD put the pope back in his place, and IS PUNISHING HIM FOR HIS UNFORGIVEN SINS AGAINST THE JEWISH PEOPLE. Just two days ago, because of Benedikt's incessant manipulations, incitement and other evil activities against the Jewish People, an innocent and holy Jew, Rabbi Meir Chai, was killed in the Shomron - in Samaria. Benedikt XVI  received instant, - if only minimal so far -, retribution.

 Jeremiah 2:3:

ISRAEL IS HOLY TO HASHEM (G-D), THE FIRST OF HIS CROP; ALL WHO DEVOUR IT WILL BE HELD GUILTY; EVIL SHALL COME UPON THEM - THE WORD OF HASHEM (G-D).

I say this young woman was not mentally imbalanced, she was MOVED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD to give this vile man and his entourage what they so justly deserve.

Who knows what kind of medical "treatment" she is undergoing right now? I cannot imagine a worse fate than being a prisoner of the "loving" Church for a "crime" of this nature ( remember the Inquisition), except maybe being a prisoner of the Taliban. She is a heroine in my eyes.

http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE5BP12B20091226:

"A spokesman said Vatican justice "is usually benevolent," signaling Maiolo will most likely be put into long-term care in an Italian psychiatric institution with no charges filed."

And she will most likely be pumped up with drugs she doesn't really need for a long, long time.

So much for Vatican 'benevolence"; so much for papal "forgiveness": it is the forgiveness of an executioner after execution; this forgiveness has the foul smell of the INQUISITION! If Benedikt REALLY forgave the girl, he would have given orders to let her go free; this, on the other hand, is typical Benedikt hypocrisy, one more proof that the man is everything but a saint: he is a vile, false, lying individual, for everyone to see, as clear as day.

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/2009/12/25/2009-12-25_pope_benedict_forgives_.html

".... this “King of Rome” known as “Pope Benedict XVI,” ... has the de facto power to KILL any individual man, woman or child deemed worthy of death tried in absentia deep within the walls of the Vatican....

http://www.vaticanassassins.org/?p=3581:

And what about the second "victim" of her assault?

"On December 24, 2009, Cardinal Etchegaray was knocked down along with Pope Benedict XVI when 25-year-old Susanna Maiolo jumped over a barrier and grappled with the Pope as he processed through St Peter's Basilica for Christmas Eve mass. The Pontiff appeared to be unhurt, but Etchegaray suffered a broken leg and a broken hip in the process.[1][2][3] He had been standing a few metres away from the Pope and was knocked down in the scuffle.[4] He needs surgery to correct his bones; this is expected to happen at Gemelli Hospital, Rome.[5] The Vatican claimed Maiolo was "psychologically unstable" and had already lunged at the Pope before.[6][5] The attack shocked the Catholic world but there was relief when it emerged the Pope had not been hurt.[7]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Etchegaray

"While Benedict was unhurt in the fall, a retired Vatican diplomat, French Cardinal Roger Etchegaray, 87, fractured his hip in the commotion. He will be operated on in the coming days at Rome’s Gemelli hospital, said Nicola Cerbino, a hospital spokesman."
.....

"Etchegaray, emeritus archbishop of Marseille who headed the Vatican’s justice and peace and charity offices before retiring, was seen leaving the basilica in a wheelchair after the fall. Despite the fracture, his condition was “good,” Lombardi said."
http://www.thehour.com/story/479805

How innocent is Cardinal Etchegaray? Did he, or did he not, deserve his broken hip (or femur, depending on the reporting agency)? I will let you decide: I understand that he did try to heal relations between Jews and Catholics in France, and was closer to John Paul II than to this pope. Still, look at the picture above, he sure doesn't seem to resent Arafat at all! Also, remember the infamous role of the UN in a slew of situations, including Jerusalem, population reduction, etc.

"From 1994 to 1998, he was PRESIDENT OF THE PONTIFICAL COUNCIL FOR JUSTICE AND PEACE."

See here some of the activities of that office:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pontifical_Council_for_Justice_and_Peace

Because of the interest of the Holy See in the work of the United Nations, the Pontifical Council, in collaboration with the Secretariat of State, has frequent contacts with the United Nations and its specialized agencies, especially at the time of the major international conferences that deal with such questions as development, population, environment, international trade, or human rights.

So what do you think: was he an innocent bystander who deserves compensation for his injury, or did he get what he justly deserves? You decide.

The pope, on the other hand, for sure deserved this fall. It is the second time Benedikt has fallen since becoming pope: the first time he fell, he fractured his right wrist just after having been involved in plotting against Jewish Jerusalem. The more he attacks Jewish Jerusalem, the more he assails the Jewish People in the Holy Land, the more he will suffer: THE PROPHETS DON'T LIE!

ADDENDA:

  • Those of us abused by clergy as children have each in our time been accused

of being mentally unstable or insane - that is normal practice whenever the
church or its followers get to deal with us. We are accustomed to this
inhumane technique and we expect it as it is used so often these days.

Susanna Maiolo became known around the world after
her attempt last year as a "Molested Catholic".
She is a hero to the millions of us who have been
     molested.

We really should be talking about the real issues, we should let reason
prevail and hold with a secular view in our secular society. There are no
gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell in a secular society. There is
only our natural world. Religion the way it is today is just myth and
superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.

This has been the issue between victims and the Vatican, the church and its
followers ever since priests began raping women and children - this is why
they will not permit us an open opportunity to speak - this is why they must
continue to brand us as mentally unstable as they cannot permit our opinion
to be heard, let alone considered. Victims argue that the pope(and the church
and its followers) lost all vestige of sanity when rape became a part of
the Catholic religion through the Decree Crimen which Benedict signed.

When the Catholic church made rape a part of its laws that was difficult
enough for the rest of humanity. Now despite the evidence of the harm
caused to our society the Catholic church and its followers are hell bent on
taking us down with them. The entire philosophy and ethos of the church is
in question across the planet. A church which can have universal law on how
to keep secret the sexual crimes of its clergy and yet have none for the
safety and the protection of children is not a church or a religion - its
    is a state of insaity.

The Vatican will persecute Susanna Maiolo in the same way it and its followers
have persecuted other clergy abuse victims whenever they speak out. The
church is incapable of accepting our very existence.

Do you as a Catholic support these primitive and mentally disturbed practices?

Do you as a Christian support these archaic and disgusting practices?

Do you as a human being support these abuses of our human rights?

Many Christians appear to consider those of us abused as being insane or
mentally disturbed due to our forming the opinion as a result of being
abused by clergy that there are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven
or hell and that there is only our natural world where religion the way it
is practiced today is just myth and superstition that hardens hearts and
enslaves minds and leaves vulnerable men, women and children available to
    rapist and abusive clergy.

Christians are entitled to hold these beliefs no matter how quaint or
irrational they are; however they must not permit those beliefs to impede
the due process of our law or permit those beliefs to interfere with the
functioning of our secular government and society or to impede or deny the
right to justice for those of us harmed as a result of religious activities
as these actions are both illegal and criminal.

DS comments: So apparently the Church will lock up their victim for good, so
she cannot speak up, and TELL ALL!

  • See also UPDATE in French, Swiss website:
Note: 2 carabinieri are guarding her room around the clock. She is UNDER ARREST, despite claims to the contrary! A very hypocritical and transparently untrue reason is given for their presence at her door. Below

Dear Daisy

Good report.

CONCLUSION:

See how Benedikt lost the symbols of his papacy, his MITER and STAFF, and was seen by all for what he is: a simple, FALLIBLE man; all trappings of 'godhood", gone!

EXODUS 7:15

"Go to Pharaoh in the morning - behold! He goes out to the river - and stand opposite him at the river bank, and take the staff that became a serpent in your hand."
(Shemot 7:15)

Rashi says:
"He goes out to the river - to relieve himself. For pharaoh pretended to be god [of the Nile]...he would arise early in the morning and go to the Nile and secretly tend to his bodily needs."

And here is another precious photo montage of  Susanna: yes, the girl is achieving instant sainthood by her courageous act, which will undoubtedly earn her tortures at the hand of the Vatican sadists. She is a BRAVE MARTYR FOR HER CAUSE: if you read the addenda above, it appears she was MOLESTED BY THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, and that would explain her dedicated and single-minded fury.

Poor girl, brave girl: so after all, maybe she does have emotional problems, problems DIRECTLY CAUSED BY THE CHURCH OF BENEDIKT ITSELF; Benedikt the CHIEF INQUISITOR FOR 23 years,  who SIGNED THE EDICT CONDEMNING HER TO A LIFETIME OF UNPUNISHED VICTIMIZATION.

This picture was posted on her facebook group:
After all, Benedikt is about to grant sainthood to Pius XII,
So why shouldn't we grant sainthood to Susanna, it's only fair!

My heart goes out to you, Susanna. May the G-d of Israel watch over you, protect you, and give you peace.

Update, January 3, 2010

I have to laugh, this is so hypocritical.

http://carlosechevarria.blogspot.com/2010/01/pope-forgives-attacker-sends-rosary.html

1.First of all, PLEASE TELL ME THE TRUTH, Mr. German-named cardinal or whatever, where did you visit Susanna,
- was it in " a hostel for people with psychiatric problems", or was it in "a psychiatric clinic"; which one was it, good priest, tell me, would you: is she an INPATIENT, or is she an OUTPATIENT?

She cannot be both. If she is an INPATIENT, then she is being HOSPITALIZED IN A PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL, not a "guest in a hostel". If on the other hand you visited her in a psychiatric clinic, she should be able to go home like everybody else, and she does NOT belong in a mental hospital......Or did you lock her up in a HALFWAY HOUSE???

2. Second, you mention again how you "FORGAVE" her. Please tell me, dear Benedikt, you have the power to move mountains, you can start a war with a simple telephone call, and yet you are not able to release that poor girl from her torture and send her home to Switzerland? What kind of cockamamie story is that? And what kind of 'GIFT" was that rosary? Was it a not so subtle message that she better be a "good girl, and cooperate, or else"??

3.Third: you are supposed to have supernatural powers, Benedikt: how come you are not using them to help that poor girl that you obviously love so much? And how come you were not able to protect your associate from the terrible fracture he sustained, or even yourself from both your fall and associated wrist fracture this past summer, and your embarrassing fall in front of all your congregants this past Xmas?

Just asking some questions.

DS

Further Update:

New information came to my attention, this time from a Swiss news agency, in German:

http://www.news.ch/Papst+Angriff+von+Frau+aus+Frauenfeld/421259/detail.htm

Apparently Susanna Maiolo does have a psychiatric history, she lived in an supervised setting for a couple of years in Switzerland after having received psychiatric care. That institution, WOHNGRUPPE KANZLER, seems to be a sort of halfway house for young people who have had a psychiatric history and are trying to start fresh in life. It helps them socially and professionally.

The question still remains, was she abused by the catholic church at any time in her life, as the reports above suggest? Did her outburst warrant hospitalization? Did she act out because of her mental illness, or for another, legitimate reason? That is something we won't know until we get honest reports from reliable sources outside of the Vatican propaganda room.

But meanwhile her actions expressed the feelings of many, many people worldwide, it seems, judging from reactions and talkbacks.

Tevet 8, 5770, 25 December 09 08:48
by Gil Ronen
(Israelnationalnews.com) Thousands of people took part in the funeral of Rabbi Meir Avshalom Chai who was murdered Thursday by a Fatah terror squad. The funeral procession started out at 10:00 AM from the Shamgar Funeral Home and went to the cemetery at the Mount of Olives.
Chai (40) lived in Shavei Shomron for 14 years. He was married with seven children, the youngest of whom is two months old.
Minister Yaakov Neeman eulogized Rabbi Chai tearfully and paid tribute to his great virtue as a teacher of young children.
Samaria Regional Council Head Gershon Mesika said that “Rabbi Meir is a victim of the folly of the government of Israel. His murder is the result of the removal of checkpoints. Two weeks ago the main checkpoint between Shechem and Tulkarm was opened. The government of Israel preferred the Arab's fabric of life to the Jew's life.” Mentioning Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Mesika said: “I demand that you face the widow and orphans and ask forgiveness because you cannot say 'our hands did not spill this blood."
To the Arabs he said: “You have hit the lion in our ranks but you will not break our spirit. We vow to you, Rabbi Meir, that we will continue in your path, to settle in the lands of our forefathers, in spite of them.”
A father to hundreds
MK Nissim Ze'ev (Shas) said that Rabbi Meir was “a father to all of us and to... hundreds of children whom he taught Torah.”
MK Yaakov Katz (NU) said: “Rabbi Meir, you are all of Israel; you are a hero of Israel in the instruction of Torah and in fear of the Heavens.”
Turning to the residents of Judea and Samaria, he said: “We are the few who hold the many. Rabbi Meir, you represent the courage of the settlers. You represent the courage of those who drive at night without guards or security details, you are the hero who shines his countenance to the children at night and in the day. With our devoutness and the willingness to sacrifice we will raise up those who are distant. We need to teach the Prime Minister and the Defense Minister some Torah.”
Study, not revenge
Eliyahu, the Rabbi's son, said: “I want to say to the youth – continue in my father's path. Father wanted faith, he wanted Torah study, he wanted prayers. He could not stand to see that there are no tefillin. He had to see all of the mitzvot (commandments). If you want to memorialize my father these are the things you should do. Not to beat up Arabs with sticks. We are human beings and we will not shoot them in the head for no reason. We are human beings, we are the youth of Samaria... Father would be happiest if he saw us studying.” He asked Defense Minister Barak to respect the dedication of the youth of Judea and Samaria.
Rabbi Meir Avshalom Chai left the community of Einav at 4:30 PM Thursday and drove toward his home in Shavei Shomron. Terrorists in a car that overtook him opened heavy fire at him. Ten bullets hit Meir in the head. He was mortally wounded and died a few minutes later.

Netanyahu rejects debate on checkpoint policy
Fri, 25 Dec 2009 15:40:34 GMT
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has snubbed repeated calls for a discussion about the policy of removing military checkpoints in the West Bank.
The requests came from right-wing cabinet members who argue the removal of checkpoints would amount to a rise in attacks on Israelis, Israel Radio reported on Friday.
Israeli Interior Minister Eli Yishai, a member of the ultra-Orthodox Shas party, asked Netanyahu to summon his security cabinet to discuss the checkpoint removal issue, the radio said.
"Past experience shows that the removal of roadblocks as part of the easements granted to Palestinians has led to attempts to carry out terror attacks against Jews," Yishai asserted.
The removal of West Bank checkpoints is a gesturer by the Netanyahu administration toward the Western-backed Palestinian Authority, generally viewed to be aimed at placating the concerns of the international community over the conditions on the ground in the blockaded Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
In effect, however, most of the improvements made under the policy have not been enough to help prop up the failing Palestinian economy crushed under Israeli movement restrictions.
The Huwwara checkpoint south of Nablus, one of the few key terminals whose re-opening benefited Palestinians, was closed again on Friday along with other checkpoints around the nearby city of Tulkarem, following a Thursday attack which killed a rabbi in the northern Samaria settlement of Shavei Shomron.
The United Nations reported that as of June 2009 more than 600 military checkpoints, roadblocks, gates, and other obstructions to Palestinian movement in the West Bank.
Critics censure the policy, arguing that the checkpoints have no effect on Israeli security and only fuel Palestinian resentment to the occupation.

Rabbi's Murderers Trained by Barack and Barak?

Tevet 8, 5770, 25 December 09 11:19
by Gil Ronen
(Israelnationalnews.com) The announcement by the Al Aksa Martyrs organization that its men are the ones who killed Rabbi Meir Avshalom Chai raises some difficult questions, when one bears in mind that the United States assists the Fatah organization through military training under the supervision of Gen. Keith Dayton.
Interviewed by Ben Bresky Thursday night, journalist David Bedein reminded Arutz Sheva's audience that the Al Aksa Martyrs formally joined Fatah's security forces at the Fatah convention in August. Fatah receives military training from US military forces with the full approval of Israel Defense Minister Ehud Barak.
Bedein noted that as a journalist, he recently submitted a query to the Minister of Defense and directed a similar question to the US authorities. In his queries he noted that despite their claims otherwise, the Al Aksa Martyrs are a terror group whose men receive financial aid which the US gives the group.
He has not received an answer to the query.
Bedein's description of the matter means that the United States (headed by President Barack Obama), with the Israeli government's passive agreement, has indirect responsibility for training and funding the terror force which murdered Rabbi Meir Chai.

1.Killing the Best of Us

Tevet 9, 5770, 26 December 09 11:42
by Shmuel Neumann
(Israelnationalnews.com)
One balmy Thursday evening several years ago, on a clear night, the kind of night that makes you feel great to be alive, I stood enjoying the clean air of Samaria. I was approached by a young man who asked if I could help him deliver food. As I had just moved to Israel, and had nothing but time on my hands, I unhesitatingly said yes.  It was then that he explained to me that in order not to embarrass people we would meet at 2:00 a.m. to deliver the food.  I slept a few hours and when I met him his old, beat up car was filled with cartons.

Thinking that there were only about 100 families in the small community which anti-Semites like to call a “settlement” and in which I lived, I thought that this wouldn’t be too hard – how many people could be in need of food for the Sabbath? I was shocked that our first stop was somewhere else, in a Jewish village named Chomesh. (Chomesh was destroyed later in the Disengagement along with Gaza). This was in the middle of the intifada and I was terrified and asked my driver if he wasn’t afraid to be on the roads at this hour. He told me he was in the Golani Brigade and that nothing would happen to us while doing a mitzvah (good deed). He drove up to each house and I brought the box of food to the door and ran back.  We went to Einav and Avnei Chefetz and other Jewish communities in Samaria coming back only to fill up his car again with more food cartons. We returned after 5:00 a.m.

This courageous, decorated Golani fighter was a gentle soul who found his calling in teaching very young children, whose love for Torah was ignited by his warm gentleness and zest for life.  His name was Rabbi Meir Avshalom Chai.

Debate is raging over whether one Jewish soldier is worth a thousand Arab terrorists. This one Jewish soldier was worth millions.

In the next war, expected to erupt in the next few months, I think we need to fight without taking prisoners. We do not want to kill, but are commanded that if an enemy comes to ambush us, we have an obligation to go out and anticipate him.

Debate is raging over whether the Hesder yeshivas are producing subversive soldiers who will refuse orders. This defamation is a smoke screen. These boys are the backbone of the Army, while many of the anti-religious kibbutz or Tel Aviv café aficionados define themselves as post-Zionists and do the barest minimum to get through their compulsory draft. It is the fire of the Hesder boys’ idealism which fuels today’s Army. It is their blind trust and faith in the Almighty and their love of the Land that keep Israel’s Defense Force  viable.

Debate is raging over whether we need to make one sided concessions and gestures to an illusory peace, bowing to the relentless, almost psychopathic pressure of President Obama. What this debate is really about is whether we trust in the Almighty. Peace is not achieved by negotiations. Peace is one of the rewards for fulfilling the commandments. One of the commandments is settling the land. Another commandment is inheriting the land and making it our own.

They may kill the best of us now, but in the end the nations of the world will have to give an accounting, particularly those, according to the prophet Yoel, who “split the Land.” The Almighty loves the Torah, the Jewish people and the Holy Land and will punish severely those nations that attack any of these.

They killed one of the best of us. But like his name, Chai (which means life), he will live forever in the afterlife, while those who attacked him are damned.

The enemy is not just the Arab that pulled the trigger, but the organizer of the terrorist group, in this case PA head Mahmoud Abbas, as well as those who fund and train them and those who supply the guns.

One Jew named Chai is worth more than the two million so called Palestinians who  inhabit Judea and Samaria. Barak may give the order to evacuate Jews, but the Almighty gave the order thousands of years ago to evacuate the gentiles, as every square inch of the Holy Land was divided among the tribes of Israel. Rabbi Chai loved this land.

They may have killed the best of us, a young father of seven children, but in his short life he lived fully, helping others and serving as an example to them. We can make our lives meaningful by following in his footsteps.

2.Rav Chai Was Already In The Olam HaEmes [the World of Truth]

Now, after the tragic shooting death of the head of the family, the wife and children of Rabbi Meir Avshalom Chai HY"D revealed the story that the family heard about 12 years ago, after he emerged from a coma, the result of a serious vehicular accident.
R' Chai was involved in an extremely serious accident, and his condition was listed as critical, with doctors explaining he was clinically dead. He was resuscitated at least twice.
The rav emerged from his coma after about two weeks, and with his family around his bed, he explained that he was in the Olam HaEmes and returned. He told the family that in the Heavenly world, he told them "my son was born a few days ago and I want to be there to help raise him. I do not wish to leave a widow and orphan". He went on to explain that he cried bitterly, and received the response that his request was answered, and he was returned to this world for 12 additional years. This story the family explains was told to many children, part of the rav's tool to compel people to strengthen their faith and belief in HaKadosh Baruch Hu.
On Thursday, the day of the murder, that son marked his 12th birthday, the boy for which the father was returned to assist in raising together with his rebbitzin.
Another son, Eliyahu, 16, gave a moving hesped, explaining to honor his father's memory; there should be increased adherence to mitzvos as well as learning Torah, not acts of revenge.
He called on the tzibur not to use sticks to beat up Arabs, but to increase Torah study and kiyum mitzvos, adding "we are human beings and we do not shoot people in the head without reason. We are human beings and this is not our way".
Eliyahu also turned to Defense Minister Ehud Barak, to respect the dedication of the youths, the young men and women of Yehuda and Shomron.

Comments:

DS: Yes, for sure, Barak and Bibi are guilty as charged. However, do not forget to go back up all the way to the top of the chain of command, which starts in ROME, down to Barack Obama and his minions, the CFR, the CIA, Shimon Peres, etc. etc.

Not mentioning those is exonerating them, and they do not deserve to be exonerated; they need to be exposed over, and over, and over.

May the Almighty give them all their just reward very, very soon.

Joel writes:

I don't know where you got the photo, but it immediately reminded me of the following Scriptures in Isaiah 28. It will profit you to read it and the few editorial notes in parentheses):
1Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
2Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one (...... ), which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
3The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet:
4And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.
5In that day (Ed: Almost always a scriptural phrase for the last days, i.e., "Day of the Lord" -  first mentioned in Joel 2:1 - meaning that this is an End Time prophecy. That is also clear from the actual words in the verse) shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,
6And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.
7But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
8For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.
9Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
14Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
15Because ye have said, We have made a covenant (.....) with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
16Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. (....)
17Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place. (Ed: See
Daniel 11:22 – This verse further verifies that the covenant of Daniel 9:27 and subsequent disannulment by God (Isaiah 28:18) results in a war. In fact Daniel 11: 22 is a brief parallel to parts of Isaiah 28:14-18 as verified by respective key words from these two (2) portions as follows: flood – waters; overflown – overflowing; broken – trodden down.
18And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
19From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
20For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.
21For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
22Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption  (Ed: A direct reference to Jeremiah 30:7 and to the "one week " mentioned in Daniel 9:27), even determined upon the whole earth.(...)
23Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.
24Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground?
25When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rie in their place?
26For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.
27For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.
(......)
28Bread corn is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen.
29This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.

(.....) are Xtian religious comments which I omitted. DS

What Would Jesus Do in Gaza?

Obama talks about love while justifying wars, but in the Middle East, neither works.
Dec 24, 2009
Maybe it seems beside the point, even on the eve of Christmas, to ask ourselves what would Jesus do in the Holy Land today. The narrow confines of Gaza, Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria are places where God's love was long ago supplanted by war for land and ill will among men. It has been a year now since the bloody and fruitless Israeli effort to crush Hamas in what amounts to a massive prison for a million people. Peacemakers in the Middle East are rarely blessed, and often reviled; just ask special envoy George Mitchell. And the truth rarely sets anyone free, as proved most recently by the fact-filled United Nations report by South African Judge Richard Goldstone, which was dissed by Washington and dismissed by Israel.
But given that it's Barack Obama who's president of the United States, the Jesus question has a relevance today it wouldn't have had even a year ago. No, Obama is not the messiah. I'm not saying that. But Obama actually uses the word love in a way that Jesus would have understood. So while the question of what Christ might do in today's Holy Land is hypothetical, the question of what Obama will do is not. And some of his most cherished ideas about peace, love, and understanding could be put to the test Dec. 31 when activists are hoping to stage a massive Gaza Freedom March.

It is precisely the kind of protest Obama himself called for in his speech to the Muslim world in Cairo last June when he said Palestinians must abandon violence, and held up the example of the civil-rights movement in the United States, and of similar struggles by people from South Africa to South Asia, from Eastern Europe to Indonesia.
The choice would seem to be a clear one between the policies of terror, occupation, corrosive combat, and cynical poitics that we've seen for so long from both the Palestinian and Israeli leadership, or policies of civil disobedience and sweet reason, which is what Obama says he wants. But don't expect to hear much about that march when it happens, if it happens at all. Egypt as well as Israel may make it impossible for foreign peace activists to join the marchers in Gaza. Protests come and go in the Palestinian territories, but only blood normally draws media attention and even then, not much.
Perhaps the only hope that a massive nonviolent march will have to make an impact is if Obama himself takes note. But since Cairo, he has been stymied by hardball politics in Israel. Thus in June Obama flatly stated that the United States does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements, which sounded tough. But he quickly discovered that Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu didn't really give a damn what Obama accepts. After much hand wringing, Washington finally coaxed Netanyahu into announcing a partial temporary freeze on some new apartment blocks and houses on the West Bank, but construction of public buildings and projects already begun goes right ahead.
Oslo was a chance for Obama to set things straight: either he believes in the power of nonviolent protest to affect the future of peace in the Middle East or he does not. But as he made his pitch to the Europeans to send more NATO troops to the "just war" in Afghanistan, he wandered away from his old theme in the Middle East. The belief that peace is desirable is rarely enough to achieve it, Obama said. A nonviolent movement could not have halted Hitler's armies. Negotiations cannot convince Al Qaeda's leaders to lay down their arms. To say that force may sometimes be necessary is not a call to cynicism—it is a recognition of history; the imperfections of man and the limits of reason.
Fair enough. But few conflicts are as clear-cut as the fight against the SS or Osama bin Laden.
I kept wondering when Obama, this admirer of Gandhi and Martin Luther King, would pay more than lip service to their greatness and get down to the core question of peace among Arabs and Jews. In today's wars, many more civilians are killed than soldiers; the seeds of future conflict are sown, economies are wrecked, civil societies torn asunder, refugees amassed, children scarred, he said in Oslo. And nowhere is that truer than in Gaza. But Obama did not mention Gaza.
The American president called on all nations, strong and weak alike, to abide by international standards that govern the use of force, but there was no reference to the many detailed allegations in the Goldstone report and elsewhere charging that Israel and Hamas both committed war crimes.
I know that engagement with repressive regimes lacks the satisfying purity of indignation, said Obama. But he was talking about Iran and North Korea, Burma and Zimbabwe. He did not say the United States should engage with Hamas, and he did not encourage the Israelis to do so.
In a ringing phrase, Obama declared no holy war can ever be a just war. For if you truly believe that you are carrying out divine will, then there is no need for restraint, no need to spare the pregnant mother, or the medic, or the Red Cross worker, or even a person of one's own faith. Such a warped view of religion is not just incompatible with the concept of peace, but I believe it's incompatible with the very purpose of faith—for the one rule that lies at the heart of ever major religion is that we do unto others as we would have them do unto us. But was Obama talking about radical Israeli settlers in the West Bank or the Israeli forces blowing apart factories, farmlands, and private homes in Gaza a year ago? Or for that matter Hamas? He didn't mention them.
Adhering to the law of love has always been the core struggle of human nature, said Obama as he moved toward the end of his speech, using without reservation that word that is at the core of the Gospels. And Obama called on us to reach out for that spark of the divine that still stirs within each of our souls. But the only specific reference to the Holy Land that he offered was a passing remark that the conflict between Arabs and Jews seems to harden.
No, I don't know what Jesus would do, but I know what Obama should do. He can embrace the most important finding of the Goldstone report, which is essentially a call for Israel and Hamas to embrace a process of truth and reconciliation similar to the process that helped to heal the wounds of apartheid. (Thus far, the State Department has been claiming the report is actually an obstacle to peace.) And Obama should use his moral authority, while there's some left, to open the way for peaceful protest in Gaza, instead of allowing Israel and Egypt to shut it down. When the president visited a Boys and Girls Club in snowy Washington the other day, he told the kids that what the birth of baby Jesus "symbolizes for people all around the world is the possibility of peace and people treating each other with respect." It's time Obama worked harder to apply that principle in the part of the world where Baby Jesus was born.
