Considering the iffy-iffy situation all over the world right now and particularly in the US, and specially after the call of Natan Scharansky at the CAM conference I mentioned in my previous post (and considering my own concerns), I think this series of videos I am presenting to you today is rather appropriate on this blog and at this time. I hope there won't be a need for that kind of expertise in the near future, but it's certainly better to be prepared!

Hebrew foreword, as this is a series from Kan 11, an Israeli TV station. Everything has English subtitles for those of you who don't understand Hebrew, and a lot of the conversations are in English anyway. We could loosely translate Kan 11's title as "the American IDF".

I agree with you, what can I say. On the other hand I spoke with my cousin in New York, a wonderful Torah Jew who has a son here, whose mother lived in the Old City of Jerusalem, and yet she explained to me:
I still have a young son here; I trust that Hashem puts me wherever I am supposed to be; I listen. And I hope to come to Eretz Yisrael when Mashiach comes.
You know what, I can understand what she says; sometimes people have family obligations, a wife, a husband, children, parents, you name it. They feel that they have a Shelichut of some sort, and their time has not come yet. Years ago I wrote to the Lubavitcher Rebbe and told him I wanted to come to Israel but it was not happening, what to do. He told me to stay where I was for now. Which is what I did, even though I didn't like it. But at the end it was Letovah, because when I finally came it was to the best place I could possibly find, which I didn't know of before!
So you see, Hakol Letovah. I am still telling my family to come, but I won't pressure them.
Once I was in a hotel in Austria, for a family simchah, and the wife of the Toldot Aharon was there too. I told her:"Why do I have to be in the Galut? I want to be in Eretz Yisrael." You know what she answered me - and I will never forget that, it was so true: she said:" Do you think that you know better than Kakadosh Baruch Hu where you have to be at each moment?" So I think it is really a matter of Emunah. What do we know about each person's destiny? Who are we to judge? Al tadun et Chavercha ad she tagiya Bimekomo.
And by the way, these people are not murderers, they are DEFENDERS of the Jews of America. They have never ever even hurt anybody. But if one Amalekite rises and tries to kill them or their kehillah, then they will stand up and erase Amalek. Even Rav Kanievsky wrote a psak din that permits a weapon in Shul on Shabbat after Monsey. So are we really to judge what is right and what is wrong in this case? Of course I would much, much prefer for them to all be here in ERetz Yisrael. But who am I to judge???

Who are you? I am amazed at the comment you just made. Where do you learn?
Two things:
This morning I was walking in my garden, looking at all the plants, the trees, the cedars, the cypresses, the pine trees, even the weeds, the thistle, and I felt like I had never in my life been so happy: it was true Gan Eden. Everything was so beautiful, just perfect. Nature is teaching me so many, many things which I never knew!
One more thing. Are you familiar with Rav Berland? He said from jail that people should say certain Tehillim and also to say the name of all 12 stones of the Choshen Mishpat 7 times a day. So I composed a song with them - anybody is welcome to learn it - and it also had mnemonics, based on the leading letter of each row of 3: Dalet, Pe, Lamed, Shin = Daf Shel.....? I kept singing that song, because the Twelve Stones are really the manifestation of the Malchut of the Beth Hamikdash, the Keter of the Kohel Gadol, or Hashem, and also of King Mashiach. It is the return of the Malchut Shamayim to AM Yisrael, to the whole world.
And here you bring up the four letters of the Dreidel:
Dalet, Shin, Pe, ( You forgot Nun)... almost the same; the same day.... Amazing.
Isn't it interesting? I want to know the names of all twelve of those stones in English, so I can get them for the Choshen Mishpat. Do you know them?

I hadn't really followed that story; I figured, typical antisemitic goyim with their xtian hatred, what do I care? But Hashem cares. I thought rather that Italy is getting it because of Rome, because the Vatican and the pope have to be destroyed. Just like Iran. Of course you are so right, our place is clearly here, but not everyone has the fortitude to abandon their children, their spouse, to be here. It is a very difficult test, and not everybody can do it. Do you want to tell me that the Vilna Gaon lacked Emunah? Even he turned back when he felt his place was not here, not at that time. Maybe YOU had to be here, now, and maybe for other people their time has not come yet. Who knows? Can't the berur take place for a person from a distance? What if they are absolute Tzddikim yet they need to be there at this time to do Hashem's work? Isn't this a legitimate question? But of course I am SO HAPPY that I am here, it is the only place to be, really. BTW the Vilna Gaon's 300th birthday is this year's Yom Rishon shel Pessach.
