Important analysis: Should this really, G-d forbid, happen, make sure to let ALL Israelis know that is was PREPLANNED by the evil ones, and not to give them the satisfaction to see their treason rewarded.

WHAT WILL BE KADIMA'S NEXT TRICK TO STAY IN POWER?

by Emanuel A. Winston, Mid East analyst & commentator

I wrote an article entitled "THE NEXT POLITICAL WAR IN ISRAEL" on December 13, 2008, wherein I examined the convenient timing of the IDF attack on Gaza in light of Israel's 8 years of "restraint". Clearly, it was no coincidence, since the Israeli elections were moved up to come soon. The trio of Ehud Olmert, Ehud Barak and Tzipi Livni wanted to look heroic to the voters and retain power.

Given that all three were on a short leash to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, they needed permission to slip that leash based upon the need to keep the Kadima Party in power. You can't give away a country without having friends on the inside of that government.

So Kadima was allowed to go to war but, not to win - only to create sufficient damage and stop before the Hamas enemy was finished. The Kadima three assumed they would look so heroic to the public they would easily be voted back into power.

Is it possible that Olmert's cease-fire was set just in time to allow longer range missile in from Iran so that Tel Aviv would be hit before elections so Kadima could cancel elections?

Of course, it was expected that they would complete the Faustian bargain with Rice and the U.S. State Department that included but, not limited to dividing Jerusalem, creating a second state by driving the Jews out of Judea, Samaria, the Jordan Valley, the Golan Heights and other benefits.

But, something went wrong. The Polls indicate that the Likud Party under Bibi Netanyahu will likely win the dominating numbers in the February 10th elections. What can Kadima do now? What tricks are left in their bag?

If they can manage a major suicide attack or a missile into Tel Aviv, Kadima would claim an emergency and have the accommodating Knesset call off the elections.

Olmert has already set the stage by announcing that he has instructed the Defense Minister Ehud Barak to prepare for an instant response to further attacks. But, he needs something newsworthy - like an explosion in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv, G-d forbid.

The Military would again be called into action to bomb targets further into Gaza. We all should understand that both Palestinian factions: Fatah and Hamas prefer Kadima in power. After all, Kadima with U.S. backing is far more dependable to give up territory than Likud.

So what will be the next trick of choice to delay the February 10th elections?

Whatever it is should happen in the next few days or a week at the most.

Perhaps nothing will happen but a lot of people have invested quite a bit in forcing Israel underwater to appease her enemies.

Should the unthinkable happen along the lines of the suggested scenario above, then it would be up to President Obama's Middle East team to pick up where Olmert and Rice left off.

DRUG-FREE AMERICA???

bill sent this, great! Thanks

DS

Rabbis, would you be kind enough to answer this Sheelah? Thank you, DS

4.DS replied:

Of course, the great majority of non-Jewish boys of Clinton's generation in America were circumcised at the age of 4 days in hospitals. Now it is starting to change, unfortunately.

In addition, Jewish circumcision involves two steps, 1. cutting the foreskin, and 2. pushing back the membrane. Do hospitals do both?

As far as I know, that type of medical circumcision doesn't count for conversion unless it is done in the proper spirit, with the proper intention, with a Brachah - although I would agree with you, it is better than nothing.

The question is: does circumcision done for medical , and not religious reasons, count as a Brit Milah?  When a non-Jew who already had a medical circumcision converts, they remove a drop of blood, as far as I know.

So the question is: which circumcision qualifies a man for the attendance to the Seder: simply medical circumcision, or full-fledged Brit Mila?

I think we should ask a knowledgeable rabbi what it means re: attendance to a Seder, i.e. Korban Pessach. That is a very good question. I will forward this question to one of the many rabbis on this panel.

3. E.T. retorted:

Monica Lewinsky said BILL Clinton was circumcised.........who would refute a statement from a nice-jewish-girl......he  he  he

2.DS answered:

Very nice, I agree...there is only a slight, little problem:

NON-JEWS, ARELIM ( uncircumcised according to Torah) ARE ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN TO PARTICIPATE IN THE KORBAN PESSACH. And the Seder is a substitute for the Korban Pessach , until the Temple is rebuilt and the Pessach sacrifice is reinstated.

So Mr. Giuliani, Ms. Clinton and Mr. Gore would be better advised to go watch another game, during those few precious hours of the remembrance of The Exodus from Egypt, and the Afikoman - that is, UNLESS they convert, and the men go through a Brit Mila.

That is an absolute Torah Law, ask any rabbi.

URGENT: we need FLYERS, POSTERS, etc, EXPOSING THESE TWO STORIES + BIBI, SO PEOPLE WILL KNOW WHAT THE CANDIDATES ARE HIDING. Tomorrow night is a multi party debate at the Israel Center (D. BEDEIN). Can ANYONE have flyers ready?

I saw this in Thursday's Yediot Ahronot … front page, banner headlines and all. Then it disappeared. Tsippi Livni, the foreign minister, who has been strutting around like one of the kingpins of the government, member of the inner security cabinet, chief negotiator with the Palestinian Authority, etc. suddenly would have us believe she was taken totally by surprise. She had nothing to do with such a plan and she opposes it with all her being, etc. Sure I believe her. Was she wearing snake skin shoes when she said that? She knows (so does Olmert but he doesn't have to care any more) that this is unacceptable to the public.

Israel has to tell George Mitchell and his boss that anyone who wants the Jews out of Jerusalem will have to carry us out in rubber bags. That has been done before, of course, and the Arabs want nothing more than to do it again, God forbid! I have no doubt that that is precisely what the UN, the EU, the Russians and the State Department want to see happen. The time has come to stand up to the US and the world and say "No." We cannot vote for anyone who will not at least say that openly and publicly. That means Ihud Leumi. But don't leave it at that, citizens.

We have to be out on the streets and get hundreds of thousands out with us.( DS HIGHLIGHT)

Livni Slams Olmert Peace Plan, 'Won't Divide Jerusalem'

Shevat 5, 5769, 30 January 09 01:31

by Hana Levi Julian

(IsraelNN.com) Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni adamantly denied allegations Friday that she had "sold" Jerusalem in negotiations with the Palestinian Authority (PA) and said she vehemently opposed such a deal.

The Kadima party chairwoman was accused by her top rival in the upcoming elections for the prime minister's seat, Likud party chairman MK Binyamin Netanyahu, of conspiring with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to offer the PA sweeping concessions that included dividing Jerusalem and internationalizing its holy sites.

Livni's spokesman firmly denied the allegations Friday afternoon, telling Israel National News, "The Minister believes that Israeli sovereignty -- religiously, nationally, culturally and strategically -- must be maintained over a united Jerusalem, including and foremost the religious sites."

The Israeli position negotiated by Livni, he said, was that "Jerusalem will be kept united."

"Minister Livni was not in the room with Prime Minister Olmert and Chairman Abbas when they had their conversation about this agreement. This is something that someone on the other side did," added her spokesman Gil Messing. "It was not the work of Minister Livni. She is against it in all terms that are possible to elaborate and she said so yesterday in the Cabinet."

It is equally clear, he warned, that even in a deal that Livni would support, Jews in Judea and Samaria would end up losing their homes. How many, he could not say. "I don't know the numbers. As many [sic] Jews will remain in their houses where they are right now, however, there will be a division of the land. It is untrue and unfair to say otherwise."

However, whether the plan would ultimately come to fruition will depend on the PA, he added. "It will be an agreement that will represent all of Israel's security needs, and is subject to any change of situation on the ground, including the fight against terrorism," he said, "most importantly the complete dismantling of terrorist infrastructure in the Palestinian Authority areas."

Olmert 'Peace Plan': Divide Jerusalem, Give Up Holy Sites
According to the Hebrew-language daily Yediot Acharonot, Olmert agreed to give up Jerusalem's holy sites under an international authority in a plan similar to that of the "Holy Basin" concept advanced during the administration of former U.S. President Bill Clinton.

Also under the plan, the Jewish State would transfer Arab neighborhoods in the eastern section of the capital to the PA.

Interestingly, the move was predicted by Netanyahu Wednesday morning in a keynote address by at the Jerusalem Conference at about the same time that Olmert was meeting in the capital with US Middle East envoy George Mitchell.

The plan also calls for at least 60,000 Jewish residents to be expelled from their homes in Judea and Samaria, and Israel would withdraw from most of its territory in the region, with the exception of several large populated blocs. The operation would dwarf the 2005 Disengagement from Gaza, a move which has brought one million Israelis under rocket fire from Gaza, besides leaving thousands jobless and in transitional housing to this day.

The new Arab state that would be formed within Israel's current borders would also be provided with geographic contiguity through a series of tunnels and a new highway that would be built to connect Gaza with Judea and Samaria.

However, the prime minister refused to allow the immigration of millions of Arabs and their descendants who fled their homes in the State at the behest of Israel's invading enemies during the 1948 War of Independence, a demand the PA has called the "right of return."

24-hour Media Silence: 'Private Diplomatic Conversation'
A curious cloak of silence by local and international media stifled news of the agreement for almost 24 hours after the initial report was published in the Thursday morning front-page article in Yediot Acharonot.

The paper reported that Olmert had closed on the deal with Mitchell during their meeting Wednesday and provided details about the plan.

However, by nightfall it was impossible to find a trace of the report, which had inexplicably disappeared from the media radar. An internet search revealed not one reference to the day's discussion, with the exception of a lone AFP article in a Philippine newspaper.

Olmert spokesman Mark Regev brushed off late-evening attempts by Israel National News to obtain information about the agreement. "You can ask me anything you want about it," he said," but I don't want to confirm or deny anything. It was a private diplomatic conversation," he said.

Netanyahu: Vows Not to Uproot Jews
Netanyahu lost no time in going on the offensive Friday morning, telling listeners in an interview on IDF Army Radio that he would not uproot any Jews from their homes if he is elected prime minister in the upcoming polls.

The Knesset Opposition leader also said he would not be bound by any deals concluded by the prime minister, and accused Livni of making dangerous concessions in her role as head negotiator with the Palestinian Authority.

"She said she was a partner to all the decisions made by the Kadima government," he said. "Now we see what she decided and what she conceded."

Olmert Agrees to Oust 60,000 Residents of Yehuda and Shomron

As he prepares to leave office, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert found time to meet with US Mideast envoy George Mitchell during his first official visit to Israel in the Obama administration.

Topping their discussions were issues pertaining to a Gaza ceasefire and related matters but Olmert found time to entertain his high-level guest who is also seeking to advance the White House´s agenda vis-à-vis the PA (Palestinian Authority).

According to reports, the prime minister signaled Israel's approval to the expulsion of 60,000 of the approximately 250,000 residents of Yehuda and Shomron towards realizing a 'final status' agreement between Israel and the PA.

While Olmert already indicated a "massive evacuation" was required in a Rosh Hashanah interview in Yediot Achronot, this marks a step forward towards the implementation of such a move chas v'sholom.

Eastern areas of Yerushalayim would fall under PA rule and religious sites would be under an international jurisdiction, promising access to the three major religions. (We see how the promised access has worked regarding Kever Yosef in Shechem and the Shalom Al Yisrael Shul in Yericho, with both having been burned to the ground numerous times and constantly being defiled by PA residents).

There will be territorial contiguity for PA residents in Yehuda and Shomron, connecting to Gaza via a network of roadways, including a tunnel system. So-called refugees from 1948 will not be granted a right of return, but in the past, the PA has stated there will be no deal without the return of at least some of these peoples' families.

When asked why these matters are not being formulated into a draft agreement, Olmert explained PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) cut ties until following the elections on February 10th.

Olmert proudly told Mitchell that he heard senior Bush administration officials' state the current offer "Is the most generous Israeli offer to date towards reaching a settlement".

There is much anger in Jerusalem from all the candidates seeking the premiership, realizing the prime minister, who has a limited number of days in office, is seeking to commit the incoming government.

US Envoy: Lieberman Met with Arafat Aide, Backed Full Withdrawal

by Baruch Gordon

(IsraelNN.com) In a new book, former US Ambassador to Israel Martin Indyk has dropped a potential political bombshell, revealing that Avigdor Lieberman, head of the Yisrael Beitenu party, once held secret talks on territorial concessions to the Palestinian Authority (PA) with one of Yasser Arafat's key advisers.

In addition, Indyk asserts that Lieberman told his PA interlocutor, Muhammad Rachid, that he was prepared to accept the wide-ranging concessions which then-Prime Minister Ehud Barak had offered to Arafat at the 2000 Camp David Summit.

These included the division of Jerusalem, an Israeli withdrawal from over 95 percent of Judea and Samaria, and a dilution of Israeli sovereignty over the Temple Mount, Judaism's holiest site.

The disclosures are contained in a memoir penned by Indyk, who served two stints as America's envoy to Jerusalem during the Clinton administration.

Page 375 of Indyk's book: "Lieberman had indicated that the broad outlines of Barak's territorial offer [at Camp David] would be acceptable..."

The 500-page book, entitled, "Innocent Abroad: An Intimate Account of American Peace Diplomacy," provides an insider's view of the workings of the peace process, including a look at the failed Camp David talks which were convened in the waning days of Bill Clinton's presidency.

On page 375 of the book, Indyk writes that, "After Camp David, with Arafat's approval, Rachid had initiated a dialogue with Avigdor Lieberman, the leader of Yisrael Beitenu, the right-wing Russian immigrant party." He notes that, "According to Rachid's account, Lieberman had indicated that the broad outlines of Barak's territorial offer would be acceptable to the national (right-wing) bloc."

Indyk's revelations could prove damaging to Lieberman, whose party is soaring in the polls in advance of Israel's February 10 elections, thanks in large part to his nationalist image among the public.

Irene Etinger, Avigdor Lieberman's spokeswoman, commented on Indyk's claim, "The facts quoted in the book are not true."

Political observers suggest that Lieberman and his party are now likely to come under increased scrutiny in the wake of Indyk's book, particularly in light of Lieberman's past statements on the issue of Jerusalem.

As Israel National News reported previously (link: http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/123848), in October 2007 Lieberman came under fire for suggesting at a cabinet meeting that Israel should divide Jerusalem and transfer various neighborhoods within the city to PA control. In The Jerusalem Post's coverage of Lieberman's willingness to divide Jerusalem http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1191257265427&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull , a senior Likud official said, "He crossed a line that cannot be crossed and we are shocked by the way he has zigzagged between Right and Left."

At that time, the Yisrael Beitenu platform, publicized on its website, stated "Unless there is a partition between the Arab residents of metropolitan Jerusalem and its Jewish residents, Israel will find itself with an additional 200,000 Arab Israelis who will turn Jerusalem into a city with an Arab majority. Of course, the addition of such a large number of Arabs to Israel has general demographic importance."

The platform further said, "Neighborhoods like Jebel Mukaber, a-Ram and others can go to 'Palestinian sovereignty."
