IDF soldiers train American Jews in self-defense and counter-terror techniques at training camp in Upstate NY!

Starting in late July, a group of Israeli combat veterans will be holding a training camp in Upstate New York to teach advanced self-defense techniques to Jews in U.S. communities. An increasing number of American Jews have expressed interest in the program following a wave of anti-Semitic incidents worldwide over the past year, organizers report.

The group calls itself Kitat Konenut New York – a reference to the “rapid response teams” active throughout Judea and Samaria. Rapid response teams in Israel, comprised of local civilians who are IDF veterans, have often been the first on the scene of terrorist attacks and other emergencies, and have prevented casualties.

It was founded in 2006 in response to a shooting attack at a Jewish center in Seattle, Washington. One woman was murdered in the attack, and several others were wounded.

The group is apolitical, and does not take part in demonstrations. “Our agenda is to protect Jews,” says group member Yonatan Stern.

However, the group does have a firmly held belief. “We believe in the constitutional right to bear arms,” Stern says. Kitat Konenut encourages all American Jews to learn how to use weapons, and to purchase their own firearms for self-defense.

Trainees learn the IDF's unique martial arts style, known as Krav Maga, and learn to identify suspicious objects and dismantle improvised explosives. They are also trained to use a variety of both non-lethal and lethal weapons, including assault rifles and sniper rifles. Trainers review techniques to deal with situations ranging from knife fights to urban warfare.
Training this year will begin on July 28th and conclude on August 8th.

 Housing Minister: Construction Freeze is in Barak’s Hands

(Israelnationalnews.com) Who’s in charge of government policy – Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu or Defense Minister Ehud Barak? Though Netanyahu heads the second-largest party, the largest bloc of parties, and the government itself, Housing Minister Ariel Attias of Shas feels that it is Defense Minister Ehud Barak who has the power to make some of the more important decisions.
Barak heads the Labor Party, which is currently the Knesset’s fourth-largest party. It has lost more than two-thirds of its strength over the last 18 years, dropping in the last six Knesset elections, from 44 seats in 1992 to only 13 today.
Tourism Minister Stas Misezhnikov (Israel Our Home) said on Sunday, “We are a nationalist government; Labor joined [only] because it is used to sitting in the coalition, and will remain because it has nowhere else to go. We must respect the US which agree to the ten-month freeze, but at the end of the ten months, we must end the freeze.”
Despite this, it appears that Barak might have the final word. This follows from the fact that Judea and Samaria is officially under military rule. Housing Minister Attias told Voice of Israel Radio on Sunday, “Even if the freeze ends, we will not be able to release tenders for construction in Judea and Samaria if Barak does not sign the requests for construction that have been lying on his desk. Regardless of whether the freeze is extended or not, without Barak’s signature there will be no construction.”
At a conference in the Knesset last week on the construction freeze, Yesha Council head Danny Dayan said that Barak must be pressured to be more lenient on Jewish housing requests in Judea and Samaria. When MK Michael Ben-Ari said that Dayan should be assigning the responsibility to Netanyahu, Dayan agreed that it was not perfectly clear whether it was Netanyahu leading Barak or the opposite.

He has to be replaced. We have some good people who would make excellent defense ministers. Barak has to be ousted, as a first step, and then of course punished for his crimes against the Jews. Without doing that , we do NOT stand a chance of winning ANY war against ANY enemy.

Police: More Yesha Expulsions On the Way

(Israelnationalnews.com) On Sunday morning, the police said they have plans to take down 11 buildings in Judea and Samaria. The announcement came less than a week after Defense Minister Ehud Barak warned he would take down 23 outposts.
“Israel is demonstrating a will to meet the U.S. demands [to freeze construction in Judea and Samaria],” Barak said last week after meeting with U.S. envoy George Mitchell in London. The only concrete step the Defense Minister mentioned was “evacuating 23 outposts over the next few weeks and months.”The police did not take long to implement Barak’s policy in the field, and sent a letter to Samaria Council head Gershon Mesika warning him to take down 11 unauthorized buildings in several communities by Sunday, after which the police would do so themselves.
The 11 buildings are structures built in existing communities and outposts including Yitzhar, Havat Gilad, Har Bracha, Havot Yair, Itamar, and Mevo Dotan. In some cases, the buildings are nothing more than a ritual bath or a man-made pool, but in others they are residences.
“Ever since this government was established, the situation on the ground in Judea and Samaria has only gotten worse,” said Yossi Dagan, spokesman for the Samaria Council. “The Defense Ministry led by Ehud Barak is acting like an extension of the U.S. State Department and has not ceased to chase after the communities in Judea and Samaria and their residents.”
Activists on the ground report that the police have formed a new unit to deal exclusively with evacuations in Judea and Samaria. The force, which is composed of Border Guard police officers, regular police officers, elite police forces, and mounted units, recently trained for evacuation scenarios in the IDF Adam facility near Modi’in.

“The police are planning on starting with these 11 small sites in existing communities and then moving on to bigger evacuations,” said Akiva HaCohen, a Samaria activist. “This new unit has nothing to do with defense and nothing to do with terror. It was created exclusively to destroy Jewish sites in Judea and Samaria.”

MK Yaakov Katz (Ketzaleh) condemned the police’s decision to destroy structures in Judea and Samaria. “The police should focus first on the thousands of illegal Arab structures in the Negev and the Galilee,” he said on Army Radio. “I call on every family in Judea and Samaria to have another child this year,” he said, “and in 50 years there will be 1,000,000 people in Yesha.”

Where is his fighting spirit? Where is his HOLY WAR FOR AM YISRAEL, AGAINST THIS INTERNAL ENEMY, THIS FIFTH COLUMN, THIS "DEFENSE MINISTER", WHO IS IN FACT A PROXY FOR THE EXTERNAL ENEMY, THE NWO?

Is Ketzaleh blind, or ignorant? Doesn't he KNOW WHO BARAK WORKS FOR? Is this unforgivable weakness on Ketzaleh's part, or is it just one more betrayal, by the very party that should defend our rights, the party of the LAND OF ISRAEL?

Is this the only response he can find: to have babies - how long does it take to make a baby?  We are talking IMMEDIATE DANGER HERE: why is he not addressing the REAL ISSUE?

 Barak Gaining Influence, Meeting With Fayyad

(Israelnationalnews.com) With declining influence in the party he leads, Defense Minister Ehud Barak  is assigned more responsibility within the government – meeting with PA prime minister Salam Fayyad today.
Barak Supports Unilateral Withdrawals
Though generally talks with foreign entities are led by the Foreign Minister, Defense Minister Barak is scheduled to meet with Fayyad at 1:30 this afternoon. No details have been provided on location or on the agenda to be discussed.
Famous for his unilateral withdrawal from Lebanon a decade ago, his offer of 98% of Judea and Samaria to Yasser Arafat seven years ago, and his recent praise for the unilateral withdrawal from Gaza of five years ago, Barak has apparently been recently assigned a position of strong influence in the Netanyahu government in the framework of talks with the Palestinian Authority. Barak told reporters last week that a meeting was to be held, and said, “This is not the first time we are meeting... I assume we will talk about the situation on the ground and security coordination.”
Netanyahu to WashingtonPrime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, on his way today (Monday) to Washington to meet with U.S. President Barack Obama, called yesterday for direct talks with the PA. He said that the time has come for PA chairman Abbas to meet with him directly. “One who wants peace is not afraid of direct talks,” he said.
More Pressure FearedIsrael agreed to a ten-month freeze on Jewish construction in Judea and Samaria simply in order to get the PA to agree to indirect talks. It is now feared that Israel will be pressured to agree to the continuation of the freeze in order to enable direct talks.
Barak Under Fire Within PartyBarak, for his part, has long been under fire within his own Labor Party, and tensions between him and others have intensified in recent days. Former party leader Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, currently the Industry and Trade Minister, yelled at Barak and threatened him in front of reporters and party members yesterday.

The issue concerned Ben-Eliezer’s secret meeting with Turkey’s Foreign Minister last week. Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman was not informed in advance of the meeting, and publicly criticized Prime Minister Netanyahu for this. Barak, for his part, capitalized on the tensions by telling Lieberman and reporters that he had opposed the meeting – which angered Ben-Eliezer, who said that Barak had told him privately that he supported the meeting.
Barak does not enjoy great support within his abbreviated, 13-MK, left-wing faction. Many of the MKs do not support the party’s membership in the Netanyahu coalition.
On the nationalist side of the spectrum, Netanyahu has been criticized for giving Barak too much say in political matters, particularly the construction freeze. Barak has unilaterally expanded the freeze to include more than the original Cabinet decision stipulated.

One would imagine that in a self proclaimed "democracy" such as Israel, the US Constitution would serve as trail blazer for us as well.

My estimate is that many of the gruesome acts against civilians here would be rather reduced if the equivalent of the Second Amendment would be in place.
