The report followed a large-scale eviction simulation involving soldiers, border police, and police forces. According to the Haaretz report,
the program is being conducted in coordination with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. While the military is keeping quiet about the timing of such an operation, it is believed that it would be carried out either this Saturday night or next, immediately following the end of Shabbat, based on past experience.

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel plans to remove in a single day all 23 unauthorized settler outposts slated for evacuation in the occupied West Bank,
a move that would meet a long-standing pledge to Washington, a newspaper said on Tuesday.
The report in Haaretz gave no date for removing the outposts, where some of the most militant settlers in the West Bank live, but said the military held an exercise last week to prepare for their evacuation.
Haaretz, a left-leaning newspaper, said the military was preparing to "forcibly evacuate 23 illegal outposts in one day.
The plan was formulated by the security establishment, with the knowledge of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu."
Israel has come under increasing diplomatic pressure from its main U.S. ally to halt all settlement building in the West Bank to spur peace efforts with the Palestinians.
Netanyahu has so far refused to commit to a total freeze, in the most serious rift between Israel and the United States, its main ally, in a decade.
In May, Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilnai said
the removal of the outposts, often a cluster of caravans on isolated hilltops built without government authorization, had become a "central issue" for the Netanyahu's administration.
"The report sounds totally illusionary," said settler leader Pinhas Wallerstein. But he told Army Radio that settlers could be "partners to painful agreements, although not as a result of American pressure."

Opposition MK (Ichud HaLeumi) Dr. Michael Ben-Ari is quoted as telling Kikar news that he is not a big believer in the objectivity of the judicial system, suggesting the government probe the matter. His comments were made in connection to the arrest of the alleged Munchausen mom, with the MK stating the arrest of the suspect was unnecessary.
Ben-Ari added with confidence that if the suspect was a member of the Druse or Ethiopian community, we can be certain the remand of the suspect would have been continuously renewed. He admits he hasn’t a clue if the allegations against the mother are based in fact, but adds if that is the case, then the problem must be addressed and this does not include the her incarceration, but treatment.
The MK added there is an important message learned from the chareidim, a message that may anger many, that they cover for one another and at times bury acts that require attention, opting to deal with them within the family. He rejected someone harming children and then benefiting from the protection of the social umbrella, stating he is not saying this is the case here. While he admires the communal responsibility exhibited in the chareidi community, he rejects this in the case where the welfare of children may be compromised.
When asked about the state’s demands that the mother undergo psychiatric evaluation he explained that he understands the chareidi response since the community has been “pinned in the corner”, carefully adding that while he does not justify the violence, he questions why she was not taken for such an evaluation against her will, which is done at times, and why the arrest and just what danger does the mother pose to the general public justifying her incarceration.
Ben-Ari feels what was seen in the streets of chareidi areas of the capital last week was not an organized effort but spontaneous displays of anger from a community that feels “up against the wall”. He drew a comparison to the resistance at Amona, which he said resulted from the expulsion from Gush Katif and N. Shomron which preceded it. Here too he feels this may be the result of social pressure. He stressed that authorities cannot control these emotions, adding the dati community is not as well equipped to fight for its rights as the chareidi community.

(IsraelNN.com) A number of pro-Land of Israel members of Knesset voice their opposition Tuesay morning to a plan reported in Haaretz, under which security forces would carry out simultaneous evictions of Jews from 23 communities in Judea and Samaria. The plan is being coordinated with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, according to the report.

MK Aryeh Eldad told Army Radio that such an eviction is liable to lead to bloodshed and civil strife and won't get the prime minister the results he wants. The
National Union's Michael Ben-Ari said that Netanyahu was joining the ranks of the enemies and destroyers of Jewish settlement in the area, and inviting 23 incidents similar to the violence at Amona, where hundreds were injured, including Eldad.
MK Tzipi Hotobeli (Likud) said that the transfer of Jews from certain communities in Judea and Samaria must be done with their agreement and input. She added that such action should not be taken outside the framework of a comprehensive program to permit construction in the region. The
Likud's Danny Danon, echoed those comments and said, "I don't believe that a Likud government headed by Netanyahu would lend its hand to a mass evacuation of Jewish settlers.

(IsraelNN.com) Lawyer Talia Sasson, who wrote the governmental report on unauthorized outposts under the Olmert administration, said Tuesday that reports that the IDF is preparing to destroy 23 outposts in one night are not true. She said that any process to remove outposts would be preceded by a long legal process.
Sasson said the report was a tactic of Defense Minister Ehud Barak to appease left-wing voters. She said any evacuations would be preceded by hearings in both the Civil Administration and most probably also in the Supreme Court.

(IsraelNN.com) The Defense Ministry said it is pushing off planned evacuations of start up communities in Judea and Samaria (Yesha) until after the summer vacation, a senior defense official told NRG. After recent investigations by the department indicated growing opposition to the evacuation, Defense Minister Ehud Barak decided on the delay to allow for talks with Yesha leaders, he said.
“The whole issue of evacuations is making progress,” he said, crediting efforts on both sides to successfully negotiate solutions. “We want to show that there is another way besides forced evacuations.
But if negotiations fail, then we will have to use force to evacuate the areas.”
