Massive stretches of weathered oil spotted in Gulf of Mexico
Just three days after the U.S. Coast Guard admiral in charge of the BP oil spill cleanup declared little recoverable surface oil remained in the Gulf of Mexico, Louisiana fishers Friday found miles-long strings of weathered oil floating toward fragile marshes on the Mississippi River delta.
The discovery, which comes as millions of birds begin moving toward the region in the fall migration, gave ammunition to groups that have insisted the government has overstated clean-up progress, and could force reclosure of key fishing areas only recently reopened.
The oil was sighted in West Bay, which covers approximately 35 square miles of open water between Southwest Pass, the main shipping channel of the river, and Tiger Pass near Venice. Boat captains working the BP clean-up effort said they have been reporting large areas of surface oil off the delta for more than a week but have seen little response from BP or the Coast Guard, which is in charge of the clean-up. The captains said most of their sightings have occurred during stretches of calm weather, similar to what the area has experienced most of this week.
On Friday reports included accounts of strips of the heavily weathered orange oil that became a signature image of the spill during the summer. One captain said some strips were as much as 400 feet wide and a mile long.
On the same day they print this story, they print the following one!!!! Hello? Where are the reporters? Too busy lacquering their hair and plucking their eyebrows? Cognitive Dissonance meet Deliberate Cover-up!!!
NOAA reopens 7,000 more square miles for fishing in the Gulf
The federal government has reopened an additional 7,000 square miles of federal waters in the Gulf of Mexico to commercial and recreational fishing.
That means 96 percent of all federal waters are now open, after a series of closures this summer as oil gushed into the Gulf following the Deepwater Horizon rig explosion. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced the reopening of waters 60 miles east of the Macondo well site, off the coast Florida between the Florida-Alabama state line and Cape San Blas, Fla.
Today marks the tenth reopening of fishing areas in the Gulf since July 22. The decision came after NOAA and the federal Food and Drug Administration sampled numerous finfish in the area and conducted smell tests and a chemical analysis for oil.
Expert trained sensory analysts for NOAA sampled 155 samples of finfish from the area, and the agency sent 156 fish samples done in 22 separate composite tests for analysis in NOAA's labs. The smell testing indicated no oil or dispersant taint, and the chemical analysis found that no levels of hydrocarbons anywhere near the level of concern for humans.
Offshore Oil Platform Explodes in Gulf of Mexico, but No Leak Found
Sept. 2, 2010 —
An explosion on an offshore oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico early today ignited a fire that caused workers to evacuate into the water, but the U.S. Coast Guard said that all the workers survived and there are no oil leaks reported near the platform.
The cause of the explosion is not yet known, but the 13 workers who were photographed floating in the ocean waiting to be rescued have been accounted for. They were airlifted to Terrebone General Medical Center in Houma, La.
U.S. Coast Capt. Peter Troedsson said none of the workers had serious injuries and the fire has been extinguished. "The fire is out, and there are no reports of visible sheen in the water," Troedsson said at a press conference this afternoon. "There are no reports of leaks, but we continue to investigate." Earlier reports from the U.S. Coast Guard had suggested that an oily sheen was seen near the site, sparking fears of another oil spill like the BP's Deepwater Horizon Spill, just east of this explosion.
A press release from the Mariner Energy said an initial examination of the site revealedno leaking oil.
"In an initial flyover, no hydrocarbon spill was reported," read the release.
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said at a press conference that Mariner Energy has told his office and the U.S. Coast Guard that the production platform was active at the time of the explosion, servicing as many as seven active wells. There are a total of 13 wells connected to the platform, said Jindal.
"They are saying that they've shut in the production platform," said Jindal. "If that's true that's a very important step but we haven't independently verified that."
Current production averages 1,400 barrels of oil a day, said Jindal, and 9.2. million cubic feet of natural gas. The maximum production of the platform is 1,800 barrels per day.
Jindal warned of the fast-changing information flow from these types of explosions, and said will not be confident that there is no sheen or that the fire is contained until it's independently verified.
Initial reports of the incident described the platform as being "completely engulfed in flames," according to Jindal. He said Mariner Energy believes one of the seven active wells connected to the platform caught fire, but that all seven are now shut down.
"What they suspect is burning is condensate or what is stored on this platform," Jindal said.
The fire is contained but still burning, according to the Coast Guard's Masaschi, who said that one of three firefighting vessels headed to the scene has already arrived.
The Coast Guard sent seven helicopters, two fixed-wing planes and a number of watercraft to the scene.
According to the Coast Guard, the platform was fixed in 340 feet of water. Workers have told authorities that they started emergency shutdown procedures before evacuating.
The platform does not have a standard blow-out preventer, a safety mechanism used to seal gas and oil wells, according to the Coast Guard.
Lee Hunt, the president of the International Association of Drilling Contractors, told ABCNews.com that this rig is different from Deepwater Horizon, which dumped millions of barrels of oil into the Gulf after exploding last spring, because it is not floating and is likely a "fixed, manned production platform."
"This platform doesn't have a drilling rig on it, it's essentially a small refinery that brings the oil up through a riser or pipe onto the deck of the platform," said Hunt. "Then the refinery equipment separates the oil from the gas and salt water. Pure oil never comes up."
A platform like the one where the explosion occurred is placed in position after a well is drilled and completed, said Hunt.
Hunt said he suspects the report of an oil sheen may be from oil already on the platform going through the refining process.
"My estimate would be that the sheen would be from some small quantities of oil being processed or even from the fuel tanks that may have been ruptured," he said. "There should not be any oil from the wellhead itself, this would be a surface spill."
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs addressed the rig explosion in his daily briefing saying, "We obviously have response assets ready for deployment, should we receive reports of pollution in the water."
It was not immediately known what caused the explosion on the rig, positioned 100 miles south of Vermillion Bay in Louisiana.
Phone messages left for Mariner Energy were not immediately returned, but the press release from the company commented on its production:
"During the last week of August 2010, production from this facility averaged approximately 9.2 million cubic feet of natural gas per day and 1,400 barrels of oil and condensate," said the release.
Bob Dye, a spokesman for Apache Corperation, which was in talks to merge with Mariner Energy earlier this year, would only say that they "don't operate the facility" where the explosion took place.
And here, in yet more unpublicized details, the whole story, by an astute blogger: access the extensive information provided - no need for me to repeat it, the author is brilliant, and apparently a geologist to boot.
Of course, don't forget to go back to all the posts about the BP catastrophe on ISRAEL TRUTH TIMES, starting June 11, 2010, by searching for the label "BP" on this blog, for the scoop.
Some of the most critical details of the disastrous Deepwater Horizon (DWH) blowout on 20 April 2010 were never made public. We are told that only one well location was drilled when in fact BP drilled at 3 wells at 3 different seabed locations. In fact the 20 April blowout was the last of several serious near-misses and the blowout location was actually 714ft north of Well A location. Despite its importance, there were no public media reports of a second underground explosion 2 days after the initial blowout on 20 April 2010 burst into flames onboard the Deepwater Horizon.
Four and a half months is a very long time to permanently kill what was initially reported as a “small leak in a very big ocean”. We were first told that it would take 3 months to drill the two relief wells (C and D)? We were told that the Relief wells were the surest way to kill the wild gushing well. Well, mid-August had come and gone by without the promised permanent kill by the Relief wells.
Months had been spent discussing all the intricate details of killing the zombie well in so many ways, from Top Kill to Bottom Kill to Static Kill to Relief Kill that it was almost killing me instead of the zombie well. Has it occurred to them, the zombie Well A could not be killed because it was the wrong well?
What if the capped Well A was drilled only to slightly over 5000ft bml? It would easily explain why Well A could only be cemented to 5000ft. It could explain how 40% of the 500 barrels of cement went into the formation. It could explain why only 3000 ft of drilling rod was in the well and not 18,000ft. It could explain why Well A had to be abandoned on 13 Feb due to 3000ft of drilling rod reportedly jammed at the bottom of Well A. It could explain the mystery of BP's attempts to kill the zombie well that refused to lay dead.
See figure 114.1 on the depths of the 3 wells drilled in correct perspective.
"Is Well S20BC still leaking? In all probability - YES.Maybe gushing is a better word.Perhaps this could explain why we continue to have so much oil in the gulf despite capping Well A in mid July.
If killing Well A was so problematical, imagine killing an "open gushing" well. Perhaps that is why it is taking so long for the "sure kill" Relief Well to bottom kill S20BC."
Within 4 days of publishing this article, Why is-BP’s Macondo Blowout so disastrous and Beyond Patch-up with this diagrammatic illustration, visits to my column shot up by almost 20,000%.
This diagram which had been pasted all over the world had been ridiculed as total nonsense, comical, garbage and many other terms which I will not post here.
Please judge for yourself the accuracy of this qualitative model and the predictions that had since proven to be true with recent events.
The label “Well Location” intentionally left out the alphabet “A” as it was intended to be the well that was actually drilled which forensic analyses of the seabed debris determined to be 720 ft NNW of Well A. This mysterious “well that never was” (referred to as “S20BC”) is still being ignored publicly by the Authorities, BP and all those involved in the cover-up to continue duping the American public and world at large. This damaged S20BC well is the real gusher and the vertical conduit draining oil and gas out of the giant reservoir at 18,300 ft below mud line; not the bogus capped Well A.
Well A was drilled down to 5000 ft or thereof. It had to be abandoned on 13 Feb 2010 due to a broken drilling rod string which was jammed in the well. One must ask why a drill string of steel pipes could be jammed inside the well bore. Recently we hear BP admitting the possibility of formation collapse. And how could the formation collapse into the well bore without pressurized fluid forcing debris and jamming the drilling rods in the open section of the well?
So my independent geological model was right. Dr Bea was right. Matt Simmons was right. So did millions all over the world who did not fall for the Bogus Press releases and the blatant acts of Mass Deception.
Well A could not be the well that blew up on 20 April 2010. At 5000 ft bml, the bottom of Well A is still 13,000 ft above the reservoir. Well A was already leaking hydrocarbon migrating through the faults, GWSF zone and the pervious flanks of the Dome or whatever vertical structural deformities. Well B was drilled to 13,100 ft.
The mysterious “well that never was” (S20BC) reached the targeted reservoir at 18,300 ft bml. It was this well that blew on 20 April 2010. This well had to stay hidden to hide the many dark secrets of the Macondo well. Credit must be given to the determined few who against all odds and the myriad of half truths, distorted facts and Bogus Press information, persevered to bring to the world the truth.
Drilling at Well B and S20BC only made a precarious geological situation worse, by acting as vertical conduits to the shallower 176 ft thick gas-charged siltstone bed discovered by the Texaco Rigel Well in 1999 and BP’s targeted giant reservoir at 18,000 ft bml.
As long been suspected, Well A was deviously capped to mesmerize the world into a hypnotic trance, diverted from the real environmental disaster. A 5000 ft deep Well A would explain the many unexplainable inconsistencies and mysterious evidence that are surfacing now in killing the zombie well that refused to lay dead.
This geological illustration that says it all was independently created on 25 July 2010 based on limited publicly available information, thousands of miles from the crime scene. It explains the need for so many cover-ups. And if these cover-ups are any indication of BP’s misconduct, integrity and credibility, we should be worried about Another Deepwater Production Platform in the Gulf called Thunderhorse at Prospect 778/822.
WHOI Scientists Map and Confirm Origin of Large, Underwater Hydrocarbon Plume in Gulf
This illustration shows a plume of hydrocarbons emanating from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The plume was identified using the autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) Sentry, instrumented with a TETHYS mass spectrometer. The vehicle made numerous criss-cross penetrations to map the parameters of the 1,100-meter-deep plume. Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) scientists, who conducted the NSF-funded work in June 2010, report the plume they measured was 1.2 miles wide and 650 feet high. WHOI developed and operates Sentry.
And just when things were looking up for the Gulf... a huge underwater oil plume has been discovered.
The hydrocarbon plume/river is 22 miles long, 1.2 miles wide, and 650 feet high. It isn't pure crude, of course; it's more like a mix of oil and water.
Why isn't the oil floating to the top?
Crude is lighter than water, so it usually does... But this spill is different.
Apparently, the cold water and high pressure that exist at these depths are preventing it from coming to the surface. Dispersants may be playing a role as well.
People are calling it a plume, but it looks more like a river to me.
The river of hydrocarbons is currently headed southwest, towards Mexico's coastline. That could cause a nasty international incident in a few months...
Fortunately, scientists say the plume's concentrations of toxic chemicals are dispersing as they travel.
But we're talking about benzene, mercury, and other really nasty chemicals. The full impact of these deep water plumes is not yet understood.
Scientists from WHOI, along with the Coast Guard and other institutions, used an array of high-tech gadgets — including an autonomous unmanned vehicle (AUV) named the Sentry — along with mass spectrometers, to find and track the plume.
Dr. Richard Camilli of WHOI had this to say:
We’ve shown conclusively not only that a plume exists, but also defined its origin and near-field structure.
That certainly runs counter to most of the reports we've seen so far.
Dr. Samantha Joye, a marine science professor at the University of Georgia, said told the NY Times:
The idea that 75 percent of the oil is gone and is of no further concern to the environment is just incorrect.
For now, we don't know if more plumes are lurking out there. The ocean currents at these depths are still somewhat of a mystery, even to scientists who study them for a living.
We can only hope for the best, and be glad that efforts to limit damage from the spill have picked up in recent months.
Just today I talked to a friend who is down in New Orleans, coordinating and working on the cleanup. He told me things have improved dramatically from the chaotic early days.
Thousands of bright folks are working around the clock to clean this one up.
Until next time,
Adam Sharp

Drew Wheelan of the American Birding Association flies with Southwings Aviation and the Achafalaya and Lower MIssissippi Riverkeepers over the affected coastline from the Deepwater Horizon Oilspill in Louisiana. The flight takes them from Raccoon Island all of the way to the Mississippi River delta. On the outer islands they find oil on nearly every island and marsh, and see little evidence of any clean up efforts. They also encounter long foamy lines attached to oily sheens which might be from the massive amounts of dispersant used in the Gulf in the last 3 months.

ISLAMABAD — The number of people suffering from the massive floods in Pakistan exceeds 13 million — more than the combined total of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the 2005 Kashmir earthquake and the 2010 Haiti earthquake, the United Nations said Monday.
The death toll in each of those three disasters was much higher than the 1,500 people killed so far in the floods that first hit Pakistan two weeks ago. But the U.N. estimates that 13.8 million people have been affected — over 2 million more than the other disasters combined.
The comparison helps frame the scale of the crisis, which the prime minister said Monday was the worst in Pakistan's history. It has overwhelmed the government, generating widespread anger from flood victims who have complained that aid is not reaching them quickly enough or at all.
"The number of people affected by the floods is greater than the other three disasters combined," Maurizio Giuliano, spokesman for the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, told The Associated Press.
A person is considered affected by the floods if he or she will need some form of assistance to recover, either short-term humanitarian aid or longer-term reconstruction help, said Giuliano.
The total number of people affected in the three other disasters was about 11 million — 5 million in the tsunami and 3 million in each of the earthquakes — said Giuliano.
Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said Monday that the floods were a bigger crisis than the 2005 Kashmir earthquake that killed nearly 80,000 people and the army's operation against the Taliban in the Swat Valley last spring that drove more than 2 million people from their homes.
"The magnitude of the tragedy is so immense that it is hard to assess," said Gilani during a visit to the central Pakistani city of Multan. Many of the people affected by the floods, which were caused by extremely heavy monsoon rains, were in Pakistan's northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Rescue workers have been unable to reach up to 600,000 people marooned in the province's Swat Valley, where many residents were still trying to recover from last year's fight with the Taliban, said Giuliano. Bad weather has prevented helicopters from flying to the area, which is inaccessible by ground, he said.
"All these people are in very serious need of assistance, and we are highly concerned about their situation," said Giuliano.
Hundreds of thousands of people have also had to flee rising floodwaters in recent days in the central and southern provinces of Punjab and Sindh as heavy rains have continued to pound parts of the country.
One affected resident, Manzoor Ahmed, said Monday that although he managed to escape floods that submerged villages and destroyed homes in Sindh, the total lack of government help meant dying may have been a better alternative.
"It would have been better if we had died in the floods as our current miserable life is much more painful," said Ahmed, who fled with his family from the town of Shikarpur and spent the night shivering in the rain that has continued to lash the country.
"It is very painful to see our people living without food and shelter," he said.
Thousands of people in the neighboring districts of Shikarpur and Sukkur camped out on roads, bridges and railway tracks — any dry ground they could find — often with nothing more than the clothes on their backs and perhaps a plastic sheet to keep off the rain.
"We were able to escape the floodwaters, but hunger may kill us," said Hora Mai, 40, sitting on a rain-soaked road in Sukkur along with hundreds of other people.
A senior government official in Sukkur, Inamullah Dhareejo, said authorities were working to set up relief camps in the district and deliver food to flood victims.
But an Associated Press reporter who traveled widely through the worst-hit areas in Sindh over the past three days saw no sign of relief camps or government assistance.
The floods hit the country at a time when the government is already struggling with a faltering economy and a brutal war against Taliban militants that has killed thousands of people.
The U.S. and other international partners have donated tens of millions of dollars and provided relief supplies and assistance.
A faltering relief effort could open the door to hard-line Islamist groups, which have already been delivering aid in the northwest. Associated Press Writer Ashraf Khan contributed to this report from Sukkur.
Meanwhile in America, BP pretends all is fine and dandy, when nothing could be further from the truth: the man-made disaster is going on, away from the public's eye, as dangerous as ever:
Radiation, plague, and fires: foreign embassies urgently evacuate staff from Russia
Publication time: 7 August 2010, 13:52
… Early in the morning of 7 August, the escape of foreign diplomats from Russia took epidemic proportions. It is possible that the diplomats, through the intelligence services of their countries, know something that is not yet known to the general public.
Germany officially closed its embassy and evacuated the entire staff from the doomed Russian Empire, media outlets reported. Austria, along with Poland and Canada, is evacuating almost all its staff from Russia. Foreign embassies addressed to their citizens got stuck in the country to leave Russia as soon as possible.
A Hamburg newspaper,Die Welt, reported in a clear text format that the urgent flee of German diplomats from Russia was caused by radiation approaching Moscow.
The radiation, according to the newspaper, comes from facilities for the production of atomic bombs (400 km east of Moscow) burning in Sarov. Emission of radiation in the environment continues.
…
Naturally, the evacuation affected all, without exception, embassies in Moscow, but most of them reported nothing for political reasons.
…
Americans traveling to these areas of Russia are advised to cancel the trip. US citizens … who are already inside the giant area of natural disasters, which now represents the whole Russia, are advised to avoid unnecessary outdoor staying and strenuous physical loads.
The current alert warning will remain in force until September 5, when the situation in Russia, as the US stipulates, relaxes as far as fires are concerned, because there'll be left nothing to burn. The situation would remain unpredictable regarding plague and radiation.
Foreign Ministries of Germany, Bulgaria: France, Italy and other countries also appealed to their citizens not to travel to Russia.
Tourists wear protective face masks as they walk along the Red square in thick smog, with Saint Basil's Cathedral partially visible in the back, in Moscow, Russia, Friday, Aug. 6, 2010. The city of Moscow was shrouded Friday by a dense smog that grounded flights at international airports and seeped into homes and offices, as wildfires that have killed 50 people nationwide continued to burn.
A Russian health official says deaths in Moscow have almost doubled to 700 a day as the Russian capital suffers a third week of scorching heat and poisonous smog from wildfires.
Moscow health department chief Andrei Seltsovsky said Monday the daily death rate in the city has surged from an average of 360 to 380 deaths under what he called "normal conditions." Some city morgues are overflowing with bodies.
The concentration of carbon monoxide and other pollutants in Moscow's air exceeded the safe limit by almost seven times on Saturday and Sunday. The figure moderated Monday to a range of two to three times acceptable levels.
Russia's state weather service described the heat wave affecting Moscow and other parts of the country as possibly the worst in a millennium. Daily high temperatures have reached up to 38 degrees Celsius compared to the usual summer average of 24 degrees.
Health experts said the combined effect of smog and heat poses a danger to people with heart and lung problems and risks aggravating other health conditions.
Muscovites were leaving the city in record numbers. Aviation officials said more than 104,000 passengers left Moscow's three major airports on Sunday. Travel agents said package tours for vacation spots popular with Russians, such as Egypt and Turkey, were sold out.
Forest and peat bog fires near Moscow have covered the city with a yellowish smoke that residents find almost impossible to escape. Thousands of Russian firefighters have been fighting hundreds of wildfires nationwide. The blazes have killed at least 52 people.
Forecasters said they do not expect temperatures to moderate until next week.

... And don't forget the effect on FOOD staples: expect widespread HUNGER as a result:
Crop outlook worsens in drought-hit Black Sea region
Drought-devastated Russia could extend a grain export ban into next year and may cut its 2010 beet sugar output, reflecting the dimming prospects for crops in the scorched Black Sea bread basket region.
Russia, the world's No. 3 wheat producer in 2009/10, said last week it would halt grain exports until the end of 2010 as the country's worst heatwave on record destroyed vast tracts of wheat and barley crops.
But Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Monday the export ban may be extended into 2011, warning the fall in this year's crop could be worse than expected.
"If someone is waiting for December 31, he is waiting in vain," Putin told a government meeting. "A decision may be taken only after the harvesting campaign results are clear."
Firefighters are still battling wildfires covering 1,740 square km (672 sq miles) in what the state weather forecaster said was Russia's worst heat wave for a millennium.
The drought and the wildfires have sent wheat prices soaring, and the grain export ban is likely to squeeze supplies and lead to a scramble for grains from other producers like Australia.
Wheat prices fell on Monday before retracing to remain within striking distance of last week's two-year highs.
Analysts SovEcon estimated on Monday that Russia's wheat crop could fall by nearly a third to 43.5 million tonnes. This is well below the consensus in a Reuters snap poll on August 5 of 46.5 million tonnes and is likely to take a big chunk out of the global wheat crop in the new 2010/11 season.
Wheat exports in 2010/11 may be around 3 million tonnes, SovEcon forecast, plunging from the 18 million tonnes the International Grains Council estimate were shipped in 2009/10.
In neighbouring Ukraine, the world's sixth-largest wheat exporter in the 2009/10 season, bad weather has also forced analysts and officials to cut crop and export forecasts.
A senior Ukrainian Farm Ministry official said this year's wheat harvest could fall to about 17 million tonnes, below the consensus in a Reuters poll last week of 18.1 million and down from 20.9 million in 2009.
Grain exports from Ukraine are also facing delays after the introduction of a new system of customs controls last week.
CONTRACTS CANCELLED
The ban in Russia has already forced some exporters to cancel major contracts of Black Sea wheat to Bangladesh.
"We see more deals being cancelled as nothing can be done about it," said one Singapore-based trading manager. "People have no choice but to go for Australian wheat as the U.S. is still more expensive due to higher freight costs."
The drought could also force Russia to cut beet sugar output to 3.2-3.5 million tonnes from an earlier expected record 4 million, Andrei Bodin, chairman of lobby group the Russian Sugar Producers' Union, told Reuters Insider in an interview.
Russia is a net importer of sugar, although it has bought less in recent years, as increased domestic production and variable import tariffs pushed it down to the world's number three sugar buyer from the top spot.

Get Rich Investing in Israel!
Israel has done a terrific job in navigating its economy through the Great Recession -- and is poised to capitalize big-time on the looming wipeout of the Euro. As the European economies topple like dominoes, the most stable and prosperous nations in the Middle East offer incredible profit opportunities.
Companies like Prolor and Radware, that nearly TRIPLE your money in a matter of months, are not all that unusual in Israel.
Prior to the 2008-2009 credit crunch, Israel's GDP had been growing an average of 5% for the past few years. And while the U.S. economy contracted -2.4% in 2009 and the EU contracted -4.0%, Israel's economy actually grew slightly.
Israel's secret?
First, unlike its U.S. and European counterparts, Israeli banks have always maintained strict lending standards, thereby sidestepping the global subprime mortgage crisis.
Second, personal consumption has stayed remarkably steady, thanks to a high savings rate. Israelis have the cash to invest in the still-expanding real estate market -- and their economy has not been devastated by the collapse of real estate prices, as is the case in most countries.
Third, the Israeli shekel also has been one of the strongest currencies in the world over recent years -- and will likely remain so as the Euro continues to depreciate.
What's more, Israel has finally turned its back on its East European socialist origins and embraced the free market with gusto. In fact, with more than 100 listed companies, Israel has overtaken Canada as the foreign country with the most stocks on the Nasdaq.
Finally, Israel is a hotbed for the global technology sector with more Ph.D.s per capita than almost any other nation. Intel has invested over $5 billion in the country. And hot on Intel's heels are Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, Motorola and Cisco. What attracts these tech giants from California's Silicon Valley to this tiny nation of 6 million? Israel's entrepreneurial spirit and cutting-edge inventiveness.

CONCLUSION:
The way I understand the meaning of Gog and Magog now, with facts on hand:
Israel will have a GAG ( same root as Gog), a roof over its head, while the nations that try to destroy Israel will end up as Magog, will MITMOGEG, melt away, literally dissolve, - witness mudslides, floods, fires, chemical poisoning, radiation, parched earth, etc.
Hashem is keeping His promise to Israel.
Nations better take heed before it is too late.
COMMENTS:
David writes:
What I do NOT like is the fact that those Pashtuns hurt there are actually Bnei-Israel.
I was thinking the same thing, that is why I highlighted the word Pashtun in my text, and added a map showing exactly where they are located, did you notice?
Also the picture of the old man I put here: take a good look: he does have the face of an old Jew, but with the expression of an Arab, or some not so good Jew.
They have such Jewish faces, amazing. Thank you. I am just wondering how to reconcile the two facts: God's wrath upon the region, with these Anusim. Do they make up a large part of the Taliban? What can we do to help them?
And what are we supposed to make of it? The fact is, this is an act of God, not an act of man. So?....Maybe it is time for those Bnei-Yisrael to wake up too, isn't it?
See what Aryeh has to say about this post:
The point is not for the Goyim to learn, it is for the Jews to learn. The Goyim deserve much, much more than they are getting but to punish them in full would destroy the world. The real point to punishing them is to wake up the Jews.
What do you think? I am at a loss: on one hand, that site, Whatdoesitmean, has a well-earned reputation as being unreliable and writing lots of fantasy. On the other hand, the U.S. has both the technology and the motive.... so??? And since "there is no smoke without fire" ( il n'y a pas de fumee sans feu, French), no pun intended...I really don't know what to think.

Am Yisrael wants the Temple rebuilt!
A survey conducted by the Panels Insitute revealed that 64 % of the Israeli public , and half of secular Israelis, want the Temple rebuilt. 97% of respondents know that the Temple was destroyed on Tisha B'Av ( Ninth of Av).
The survey's second question queried the public’s desire to rebuild the Temple. Sixty-four percent responded favorably and 36 percent said no. Analysis of the answers revealed that not only hareidi-religious and other religious Jews want to rebuild the Temple, (100 percent and 97 percent respectively), but also the traditional public (91 percent) and many secular Jews (47 percent) do as well.
Just a reminder to our many enemies, specially 'you know who' (below ), from Isaiah the Prophet:
Isaiah 49:24-26
"Can prey be taken back from a strong one; can the righteous captive escape?
But thus said Hashem: Even the captive of the strong can be taken back, and the prey of the mighty can escape; I, Myself, will take up your cause, and I, MYSELF, WILL SAVE YOUR CHILDREN.
And I will feed your oppressors their own flesh, and as with sweet wine shall they become drunk; then all flesh shall know that I am Hashem, your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Israel."

... And more truths about truth:
"A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude.
To make them love it is the task assigned, in present-day totalitarian states, to ministries of propaganda, newspaper editors and schoolteachers.... The greatest triumphs of propaganda have been accomplished, not by doing something, but by refraining from doing.
Great is truth, but still greater, from a practical point of view, is silence about truth."

PICTORIAL REVIEW OF WHAT REALLY HAPPENED IN GUSH KATIF
Here below, you will be able to see for yourselves what REALLY happened during the Gush Katif expulsion; how the GOOD JEWS of ISRAEL were BETRAYED by their so-called leaders.
Link provided by Barry Chamish.
Now you understand whom we are dealing with in this country: TRAITORS. They pretend to have the nation's best interests at heart, but this is all a mirage, a lie; either they are self-serving, or THEY WORK FOR THE ENEMY, and they cannot be trusted.
Only TRUE and FAITHFUL LEADERSHIP will get us out of this morass; AND G-D'S INFINITE MERCY, B"H.
We are waiting for Mashiach to come and rescue us; meanwhile, we do what we can to HELP THE GEULAH.

Always remember: LEARN FROM YOUR ENEMY, EMULATE HIM, but for the FORCES OF GOOD!

He does B, do B, in reverse.
We might not have his financial resources or capabilities, but we have a much greater ally: HASHEM.
Remember David and Goliath. We are David, and with God's help, we can defeat Goliath. All we have to do is UNMASK THE EVIL GIANT, UNMASK HIS TACTICS, UNDERSTAND HIS DECEPTIONS, AND EXPOSE THEM TO THE BRIGHT LIGHT OF DAY.

AND ALWAYS, ONLY STRIVE TO DO GOOD,
SO THAT WE CAN BE A FORCE OF GOOD AGAINST THESE MESSENGERS OF DARKNESS.

THE STATE IS THE ENEMY!
"You had to attack civilians, the people, women, children, innocent people, unknown people far removed from any political game. The reason was quite simple. They were supposed to force these people, the ... public, to turn to the state to ask for greater security.
This is the political logic which remains behind all the massacres and the bombings which remain unpunished, because the state cannot convict itself or declare itself responsible for what happened."

THE DARK SIDE OF THE U.S.A.: AS IN SERBIA, SO IN YESHA...
... in 1998, the US State Department and intelligence agencies decided to use the Kosovo Liberation Army to get rid of Slobodan Miloševic. "The US agenda was clear. When the time was right they were going to use the KLA to provide the solution to the political problem" – the "problem" being, as Marshall explains earlier, Miloševic’s continued political survival. This meant supporting the KLA’s terrorist secessionism, and later fighting a war against Yugoslavia on its side. Marshall quotes Mark Kirk, a US naval intelligence officer, saying that, "Eventually we opened up a huge operation against Miloševic, both secret and open." The secret part of the operation involved not only things like stuffing the various observer missions which were sent into Kosovo with officers from the British and American intelligence services, but also – crucially – giving military, technical, financial, logistical and political support to the KLA, which, as Marshall himself admits, "smuggled drugs, ran prostitution rackets and murdered civilians." "Bags of money had been brought in for years.... Organisations controlled by George Soros also played a crucial role, as they were later to do, in 2003–4, in Georgia.... The so-called "democrats" were, in reality, nothing but foreign agents."
Tim Marshall, Sky TV
