Urgent: Obama Executive Order: Peacetime Martial Law Signed Yesterday

Just in from teapartytribune:This Executive Order was posted on the WhiteHouse.gov  web site on Friday, March 16, 2012, under the name National Defense Resources Preparedness.  In a nutshell, it’s the blueprint for Peacetime Martial Law and it gives the president the power to take just about anything deemed necessary for “National Defense”, whatever they decide that is.    It’s peacetime, because as the title of the order says, it’s for “Preparedness”.  A copy of the entire order follows the end of this story.
Under this order the heads of these cabinet level positions; Agriculture, Energy, Health and Human Services, Transportation, Defense and Commerce can take food, livestock, fertilizer, farm equipment, all forms of energy, water resources, all forms of civil transporation (meaning any vehicles, boats, planes),  and any other materials, including construction materials from wherever they are available.  This is probably why the government has been visiting farms with GPS devices, so they know exactly where to go when they turn this one on.

Specifically, the government is allowed to allocate materials, services, and facilities as deemed necessary or appropriate.  They decide what necessary or appropriate means.
What happens if the government decides it needs all these things to be prepared, even if there is no war?   You likely won’t be able to walk into a store to purchase virtually anything because it will all be requisitioned, “rationed” and controlled by the government.  Construction materials, food like meat, butter and sugar, anything imported, parts, tires and fuel for vehicles, clothing, etc. will likely become unobtainable, or at least very scarce.  How many things are even made here in the USA any more?

Under this new Executive Order, cabinet heads are authorized to loan money, offer loan guarantees and even subsidize payments at above market rates (no bid contracts?) for whatever they need.   This could make Solyndra or Halliburton look like Junior Achievement.   Nothing like a war will generate these kinds of huge profits for the corporate “partners” and you can bet the bankers and contractors are already lining up for this one — because under this order no war is even required!

Troubling to say the least - from Zerohedge, a usually reliable website; I really haven't looked into this; but if even half of it is true, folks, .....

It sounds like the Catholic church to me; it has the smell, the stench of the Inquisition, the feel of feudal law, of serfs of old; medieval Europe is waking up; is this the Holy Roman Empire revisited? Three years ago, Congress balked at the mere thought of giving Hank Paulson's (so lovingly portrayed in Andrew Ross Sorkin's straight to HBO Too Big To Fail) proposed TARP, which came in an "exhaustive" 3 page term sheet with limited bailout powers however with virtually unlimited waivers and supervision, and voted it down leading to one of the biggest market collapses in history. Curiously, a more careful look through Europe's €500 billion (oddly enough almost the same size as America's $700 billion TARP) European 

Stability Mechanism or ESM, reveals that in preparing the terms and conditions of the ESM, Europe may have laid precisely the same Easter Egg that Paulson did with TARP, but failed. Because at its core, the ESM is like a TARP... on steroids. It is a potentially unlimited liquidity conduit (only contingent on how much cash Germany wants to allocate to it - which in turn means how much cash Germany is willing to let the ECB print), with no supervisory checks and balances embedded, and even worse with no explicit or implicit liability clauses - in essence it is a carte blanche for its owners to do as they see fit without any form of regulation. As the following brief but must watch video explains, the ESM "is an organization that can sue us, but is immune from any forms of prosecution and whose managers enjoy the same immunity; there are no independent reviewers and no existing laws apply; governments can not take action against it? Europe's national budgets in the hands of one single unelected intergovernmental organization? Is that the future of Europe? Is that the new EU? A Europe devoid of sovereign democracies?" Ironically even America's feeble and corrupt Congress stopped a version of TARP that demanded far less from the taxpaying citizens. Yet somehow, Europe has completely let this one slip by. Is it simply to continue the illusion of the insolvent Walfare State for a continent habituated by zombifying socialism, or is Europe by now just too afraid and too tired to say anything against its eurocrat class? One thing is certain: when the people voluntarily give up on democracy, out of sheer laziness or any other reason, the historical outcomes are always all too tragic.

Greek Budget Deficit To Pass 10% Of GDP, Country Stops Most Cash Outlays

While European banks may or may not succeed in delaying the inevitable unwind of the Eurozone by a month or two, the European credit catastrophe is taking on a grotesque form, first in Greece, where following news that the budget deficit will soar past an unprecedented 10% of GDP, the Greek government has halted virtually all cash outflows. Ekathimerini reports that "The government has decided to stop tax returns and other obligation payments to enterprises, salary workers and pensioners." In other words, the entire government has now virtually halted one half of its operations - the outlays - as the country reverts even more to its status as European bank debt slave, in perpetuity, or until the country breaks away from the Eurozone and reinstitutes the Drachma (which as Zero Hedge pointed out first in August, continues to trade When Issued at various desks) whichever comes first.

The Finance Ministry is desperately seeking ways to contain the fiscal deficit that has swollen due to additional grants to social security funds totaling 0.5-0.9 percent of GDP and due to the lagging of public revenues in the year’s first 11 months.

Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos and his alternate, Filippos Sachinidis, met on Monday with the other high-level ministry officials and agreed to issue an order to the country’s tax authorities to immediately stop paying tax returns to taxpayers, companies and state suppliers.

They also decided to promote a new regulation at the start of 2012 allowing for old debts to be paid in 60 installments, at a minimum sum of 300 euros each, in an effort to bring more revenues into the state coffers.

Provisional figures for the first 10 days of December showed that public revenues remained at low levels, although a pleasant surprise came in the form of the special property tax paid through electricity bills. This revenue has exceeded expectations, although a share of that will have to be returned owing to errors made in calculating the tax for certain property owners.

As a result we are about to get, you guessed it, another downward growth revision. We have lost count how many there have been in the past year alone.

Under these circumstances, state revenues are expected to lag the
revised target for 2011 by a considerable 1.5 billion euros at least,
while the excess on the expenditure side will be calculated after the
amount granted to the social security funds is established.

In conclusion, even Greece now admits terminal failure:

The only way to reduce the damage done to the 2011 budget by
insufficient revenues is through further cuts to the Public Investment
Program, but even then the deficit will be impossible to bring below 10
percent of GDP.

Sachinidis admitted in Parliament yesterday that
both the government and its creditors have failed in their estimates for
Greece’s macroeconomics this year, saying that this was also down to
the financial program followed.

And while the next depoit update from the Bank of Greece will confirm the domestic bank run is soaring, and the country's financial system is a hollow shell, none of this matters any more: Greece is now officially bankrupt in all but name. At this point the best the banking cartel is to hope to bleed the country dry for a few more months before the people finally revolt at which point all bets are off.

Truly someone that, in whatever light shown, would be viewed in history as a terrible person.

And even after his death, his already outrageous legend continues to grow, it somehow buries him even deeper into the layers of the world's hatred for the ex-Libyan dictator. By personally controlling Libya's rich supply of oil, Gadhafi not only died the richest man in the world, with $200 billion in his pocket, but he took the sole position in front of three prominent billionaires: Carlos Slim, Bill Gates and Warren Buffett...combined.

So the two questions asked are how did he do it? And why did we not see this coming?

Forbes, who most of the world looks to in their annual rankings of the World's Billionaires, came out with a statement stating that they distinguish “between personal, entrepreneurial wealth and wealth derived largely from positions of power.”

“...where lines often blur between what is owned by the country and what is owned by the individual. That is why rulers such as the King of Thailand, the Sultan of Brunei and Dubai's Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum are not listed among the world's billionaires, though we have estimated that each controls an 11-figure fortune.

The same principle would apply to Gadhafi, who took advantage of his station and literally lived like a king off of the backs of his people. Indeed, the vast majority of the $200 billion figure ascribed to him by the LA Times was apparently held in accounts owned by the government of Libya, the country Gadhafi ruled brutally for 42 years.” 

Gadhafi was able to achieve such a hesit by using his own power over Libya's prosperous oil supply which exported 1.3 million barrels of oil each day to build his riches. Investigations show that he had roughly $67 billion in bank accounts and investments, which were seized at the beginning of the conflict in Libya early this year. While another $30 billion was seized in England, France, Italy and Germany and the Obama administration found a whooping $37 billion in the United States.

It is said that he had around $30 billion more hidden throughout all parts of the world, with cash stored or invested in nearly every single major country in the world; from Asia, Europe, and the Middle East all the way to the U.S.

Like many of the world's richest people, he invested heavily in many sectors, having his hand in everything from sports teams, media outlets to real estate and energy companies.

He invested significant amounts in the “beautiful game” of soccer, specifically European club Fiat and Italian club Juventus FC. He also had investments in Italy's largest engineering and defense company worth $3.9 billion, Italy's largest bank, UniCredit SpA, valued at $3.3 billion, and even Pearson Plc which owns book publisher Penguin and the Financial Times newspaper valued at$14.8 billion.

Many native Libyans and those close to Gadhafi believe that he has even more money, worth billions of dollars worth in gold, hidden in his nativeland.

As for real estate, he had it everywhere. Gadhafi had millions invested in London real estate assets alone. He had even money spread throughout Europe in Prague and Italy, and more of it all the way across seas in New Jersey; with a home fit for king. His Englewood, NJ house has a tennis court, shooting range, and a massive swimming pool. That home is worth billions alone. Should be an easy sell: “Former owner was a ruthless dictator of a struggling nation for more than 4 decades but was killed by his own people... and the pool is Olympic sized!”

It is estimated that with Gadhafi's $200 billion, he had enough money to give $30,000 to each of his country's 6.6 million citizens.

There is more where that came from

It is reported that many nearby African countries refused to freeze Gadhafi's accounts due to loyalty or fear of the all-powerful dictator.

Although the $200-billion-figure has been investigated and accounted for, U.N. Security officials feel that even more money may turn up in the near future now that he has been killed. The most surprising fact is that Gadhafi's earned the majority of his riches in the past four to five years because he canceled plans for a nuclear weapons program which was worth billions.

It is said that when you pass on, your legend may proceed your history and in Gadhafi's case, it seems like his legend has only just begun.

It would also explain the discrepancy between Anders' manifesto ( which I did not read, just reviewed what intelligent others said about it) and this massacre.

Meanwhile, the fact is, Norway, and in particular the Norwegian Labor Party and its minions, really, really deserved this tragedy; they were, among others, close associates of Fatah!  Fatah Youth condemns Norway attacks, over 90 killed

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Fatah Youth released a statement on Saturday condemning attacks in Norway which have reportedly killed over 90 people.

"It is with consternation that we have received the dramatic news of an awful terrorist attack against a summer camp ran by our comrades of Norwegian Labor Youth 'AUF,'" the statement said.

The Fatah Youth group had taken part in the summer camp in the past on the Island of Utoya, near Oslo, where over 90 people were reportedly killed in a shooting spree on the Island and a bomb attack in Oslo on Friday, news reports said.

"Fatah Youth declares its consternation about the terror attack. There are no words to describe an attack against people that have been our comrades in our struggle for freedom and independence. Very few people have stood by our side as much as the Norwegian people, and particularly our AUF comrades."

"We know those who have been cowardly assassinated. Those are people that have stood for the human and national rights of the Palestinian people both in Europe and while visiting Palestine.

"Fatah Youth has participated for almost 15 years in the same summer camp and our youth has benefited by learning and sharing experiences on democracy and advocacy for peace and justice.

"We hope that those responsible for this criminal terror attack will be brought to justice. Such sick minds should not have a place in any society.

"As a people that has been victim of state terror for the last 64 years, the Palestinian people and particularly Fatah Youth presents its condolences to the families of those killed and sends a strong message of support to our comrades from the Norwegian AUF as well as from other sister parties that were participating in this summer camp," the statement concluded.

Envoy contrasts terror in Israel, Norway

July 26, 2011 JERUSALEM (JTA) -- Norway's ambassador to Israel drew distinctions between the Oslo and Utoya massacres and Palestinian terrorism.
Svein Sevje said in an Israeli newspaper interview Tuesday that while the Norwergian bomb and gun rampages that killed 76 people and Palestinian attacks should both be considered morally unacceptable, he wanted to "outline the similarity and the difference in the two cases."
Palestinians, the ambassador told Maariv, "are doing this because of a defined goal that is related to the Israeli occupation. There are elements of revenge against Israel and hatred of Israel. To this you can add the religious element to  their actions."
"In the case of the terror attack in Norway, the murderer had an ideology that says that Norway, particularly the Labor Party, is forgoing Norwegian culture," Sevje said, referring to suspect Anders Breivik, a Christian nativist who is opently anti-Islam and anti-immigration.
Unlike European Union states, Norway has engaged Hamas and often been fiercely critical of Israel, to Jerusalem's dismay.
While Sevje voiced sympathy for Israeli terror victims, having experienced "the inferno" of such attacks during his posting, he saw little chance of Norway reviewing its Middle East policies.
"We Norwegians consider the occupation to be the cause of  the terror against Israel," he said. "Those who believe this will not change their mind because of the attack in Oslo."
He added, "Can Israel and the Palestinians solve the problems without Hamas? I don't think so."
