Any number of scenarios possible: look how close Obama's warships have arrived! Which "other purpose" would they be used for: against Iran, or against Israel? Considering the last few days' action against Jews, it makes you wonder, doesn't it... Besides, Gadhafi is Jewish too!

  • US: Forces Ready for 'Humanitarian Contingencies'

Adar 25, 5771, 01 March 11 09:59

The United States has moved warships to the Mediterranean, and they will be stationed off the coast of Libya, a White House spokesperson said, in order to deal with “contingencies” that could be required if the humanitarian situation in the country warrants it. Spokesperson Jay Carney added, however, that the warships could be used for other purposes as well. "We aren't taking any options off the table,” Carney said.

  • Israel Calls Iranian Ships in Mediterranean 'Provocation'

Israeli President Shimon Peres adjusts his headphones during a breakfast conference in a hotel in Madrid, Spain, February 23, 2011
Israeli President Shimon Peres says the passage of two Iranian naval ships into the Mediterranean Sea through Egypt's Suez Canal is more of a "provocation" than a threat to Israel.

Peres told a conference in Madrid Wednesday that Israel faces a greater threat from Iran's nuclear program.  Israel and Western nations suspect Iran is trying to build nuclear weapons -- something Tehran denies.

Egyptian officials said they gave permission for the Iranian frigate and supply ship to pass through the canal early Tuesday.

It was the first time Iranian naval ships have used the Suez Canal since Iran's 1979 Islamic revolution.   Iran has said the ships are on a training mission and are headed to Syria. The French news agency reported on Wednesday that NATO is monitoring their movement.

On Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticized the Iranian naval movement, calling it a ploy by Iran to expand its regional influence at a time of instability.

The international Convention of Constantinople, signed in 1888, guarantees the right of passage through the Suez Canal for all seagoing vessels -- military or civilian.

  • Speculation US Planning To Invade Libya Following Repositioning Of Ships

Now that the word is out that Obama's and pastor Wright's buddy Gadhafi is a Yid, it changes things, does it not? Uh, I can only imagine Farrakhan's wrath: he's been had! All this time he was frolicking with a bloodsucker and didn't even know it. Just think of it. For this alone, it is worth removing him... and take his oil too, of course. Now he is persona non grata in the White House ( just like the other Yid Rahm Emanuel), despite the millions he disbursed to his little Aboma friend. Typical behavior of visceral antisemites towards Jewish largesse. It makes you also understand how he could shoot at all these Arabs: after all, he is one of us, not one of them.... Isn't it funny, come to think of it....

The US Sixth Fleet has begun repositioning its ships in the Mediterranean, triggering speculation of a NATO invasion of Libya.
It comes as Libya’s long-time leader Colonel Gaddafi remains besieged in the capital Tripoli, with opposition forces nearby.
After the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stated that “nothing is off the table” when it came to Libya, the American Navy started to take tactical positions off the coast of that North African country. At this point, the possibility of any of the major forces in the region, like US military, NATO troops or even UN peacekeepers, setting their feet on Libyan shores should not be ruled out.

This was mirrored by comments of British Prime Minister David Cameron who has said that he would not exclude the use of the military there, and that there is a possibility that Britain could provide arms to the opposition forces. He also said he would support a no flight zone imposed over Libyan territory to stop Colonel Gaddafi’s jetfighters from making air strikes on military installations seized by the opposition.
It must be noted that NATO’s Secretary General has repeatedly stressed that NATO would not interfere in the situation in Libya unless the UN adopts a resolution to do so. Getting such a document, however, looks like an impossible task because Russia and China have already vehemently opposed any kind of outside interference in Libya and say the resolution will definitely be vetoed.
Western politicians are also playing a “weapons of mass destruction” card, saying the Libyan regime might have stockpiles of chemical weapons, despite the fact that Libya officially refused to continue the development of chemical weapons and signed international treaties accordingly.
In any case, possible external military interference in Libya might seriously damage the relationship between the Arab world and the West.
“This is very ugly, this return of humanitarian imperialism ,” believes Asia Times correspondent Pepe Escobar, who said that if sanctions against the Gaddafi clan are ok, then the NATO-US intervention in Libya already been openly discussed in Brussels would be a disgusting thing, but “it cannot be ruled out for the moment.”
The violence in Libya is continuing. Heavy weapons are allegedly being used against armed anti-government forces. The opposition insists that though it is armed, their weapons are nothing in comparison with the regular army still loyal to Muammar Gaddafi.
There are rumors of a food crisis in the country as the price of rice in Tripoli has allegedly risen by 500 percent, and food shortages are on the horizon.
Amidst the bloodbath in the country, Colonel Gaddafi has said that his people love him and are ready to die for him and Libya. Gaddafi is reportedly remaining in Tripoli.
Trends forecaster Gerald Celente says it is not support for the Libyan people, but interest in the country’s vast oil fields that is driving US rhetoric.
“The only reason they are interested in Libya is for their oil. Do you hear anybody screaming and yelling here about all those people that were killed last week on the Ivory Coast or in Sudan?” Celente questions. “We already heard Hillary Clinton say that they are willing to do anything for anybody in Libya that needs aid.”
Gerald Celente says the hypocrisy is “just beyond belief” and the western world is calling for the head of Gaddafi but not for the head of any other leader from rioting countries like Egypt, Bahrain, Tunisia or Yemen.
“Why? Because it is oil. You think we’d be in Iraq if the major export there was broccoli?” exclaimed Celente.

  • US Sends Warships to Suez, Troops Stationed in Libya

Adar 26, 5771, 02 March 11 10:06
by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu
(Israelnationalnews.com) The United States is moving warships, planes and troops close to Libya and two assault ships passed through the Suez Canal Wednesday morning.
The USS Ponce and the USS Kearge, carrying approximately 400 marines passed through the waterway on the way to eastern Libya, where rebels are in control as Muammar Qaddafi continues to rule in Tripoli.
The U.S. Armed Forces Monday set up bases in eastern Libya, joining British and French special forces as a “no-fly” order looms. Russia has vehemently objected to military intervention that would prevent Qaddafi from using planes to bomb protesters, arguing that such an order would be illegal.
The Arab League, which has joined virtually the entire world in denouncing Qaddafi for slaughtering demonstrators, also objected to the use of foreign militaries.
The United Nations Security Council on Saturday slapped economic and military sanctions against Qaddafi, and Mark Lyall Grant, British ambassador to the United Nations, said a no-fly order is possible.
"We will look at what is happening on the ground, and we will look to take whatever measures we consider necessary to respond to events on the ground," said Grant after the international body’s General Assembly suspended Libya from the U.N. Human Rights Council.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that the Obama administration is "actively considering” a no-fly zone over Libya but told the  House Foreign Affairs Committee Tuesday that the opposition in Libya wants it to be understood that “there not be outside intervention by any external force,’ ’meaning foreign forces not acting through the United Nations.
Qaddafi and the rebels are at a stand-off, with the opposition having downed at least one of the dictator’s planes and repelling other attempts to re-take the city of Benghazi in the east.
The Provisional Revolutionary Council is considering asking for international help under the auspices of the United Nations to bomb Qaddafi’s military bases.
“He destroyed the army. We have [only] two or three planes,’’ said Abdel-Hafidh Ghoga, the council’s spokesman.”
Defense Secretary Robert Gates yesterday opposed direct military intervention by the United States, already bogged by the invasions in Iraq and Afghanistan.
