Report: 3 Soldiers were Kidnapped in Ship Takeover

by Maayana Miskin(Israelnationalnews.com) An internal IDF review of the takeover of the Gaza-bound ship Mavi Marmara revealed that three soldiers were briefly kidnapped while aboard the vessel. The three were beaten when they boarded the ship and then, when they were wounded and groggy, were dragged to a room within the ship and held there.
A short time later, dozens of their fellow soldiers began searching the ship. When the passengers saw that soldiers had successfully seized control of the Marmara, they released the three captives, the report stated.
The captive soldiers had recovered from their initial disorientation during their time below deck, and once released hurried to join their unit.
IDF commanders reacted to the report with concern. As similar ships continue to make their way to Gaza, there could be a situation in which a soldier is held captive in order to give passengers a bargaining chip, they said.
Reuters has published an eyewitness account that backs the IDF report. Andre Abu Khalil, a Lebanese cameraman for the pan-Arab Al-Jazeera network, was aboard the Mavi Marmara as IDF soldiers boarded. He told Reuters that four soldiers who were among the first aboard were injured and were taken below deck.
A second wave of troops then attempted to board, he said. “Twenty Turkish men formed a human shield to prevent the Israeli soldiers from scaling the ship. They had slingshots, water pipes and sticks,” he recalled. After a brief standoff, the Israelis opened fire, he claimed.
IDF troops say they opened fire only after being attacked when the boarded the ship.
A second passenger who spoke to Reuters admitted that passengers on the ship had seized soldiers' weapons before shooting broke out. He denied that the passengers had then tried to turn the guns on the soldiers.

- And had you heard about THIS? Thank you, Ehud Barak ( and of course all the other murderers as well, Barak is only our local brand of evil)
Subject: THIS IS OUR COUSIN’S ACCOUNT OF WHAT HAPPENED WHEN ISRAEL'S NAVY SEAL TRIED TO BOARD THE SHIP.
Hello uncle Erwin,
This is Amir writing you after reading what you sent to my father. As you know, it was my unit and my friends who were on the ship. my commander was injured badly as a result of the "pacifists" violence.
I want to tell you how he was injured so you could tell the story. it shows just how horrible and inhuman were the activists. my commander was the first soldier that rappelled down from the helicopter to the ship. when he touched ground, he got hit in the head with a pole and stabbed in the stomach with a knife. when he drew out his secondary weapon-a handgun (his primary weapon was a regular paintball gun- "tippman 98 custom") he was shot in the leg.
he managed to fire a single shot before he was tossed from the balcony by 4 arab activists, to the lower deck (a 12 feet fall). he was then dragged by other activists to a room in the lower deck were he was stripped down by 2 activists. they took of his vest, helmet and shirt. leaving him with only his pants and shoes on. when they finished they took a knife and expanded the wound he already had in his stomach. they cut his ab muscles horizontally and by hand spilled his guts out.
when they finished they raised him up and walked him on the deck outside. he was conscious the whole time. if you are asking your self why they did all that here comes the reason. they wanted to show the soldiers their commanders body so they will be demoralized and scared. luckily, when they walked him on the deck a soldier saw him and managed to shoot the activist that was walking him down the outside corridor. he shot him with a special non lethal bullet that didn't kill him.
my commander managed to jump from the deck to the water and swim to an army rescue boat (his guts still out of his body and now in salty sea water). that was how he was saved.. the activists that did this to him are alive and now in turkey treated as heroes.
Im sorry if i described this with too many details, but I thought it was necessary for the credibility. please tell this story to anyone who will listen. i think that these days you are one of Israels best spokesman.
my e-mail is amirzahavi@yahoo.com.
thanks uncle Erwin, shabat shalom!
Amir

Labor Party Knesset member Daniel Ben Simon has called on party chairman Ehud Barak to accept responsibility for the failure in dealing with the flotilla and resign as defense minister. In a radio interview Wednesday, MK Ben Simon said the failure is not military rather political and conceptual and is based on the idea that the Gaza Strip must be hermetically sealed at all costs. He said a public political discussion on the issue must be held. | |

ReplyDeletePaintball guns. What idiot in Israeli intelligence would send soldiers into a potentially combative situation with paintball guns. Its disgusting. I see the hand of the hellish Israeli leadership all over this. What say you/
