(Israelnationalnews.com) The Cardinal of the Czech Republic, Miloslav Vick, is concerned about the fate of Christianity in Europe. He argues that Europe must return to its roots, if not the fate of the continent will be to become Islamic.
"Medieval Muslims tried to conquer Europe but Christians expelled them," he said. "Today there is a similar war but with spiritual weapons. However, Europe lacks the tools and ability for a spiritual struggle while Muslims are well equipped," he says, adding that 'the fall of Europe is close at hand."

The Maan news service reports that Holland has contributed some 50 million shekels (about 15 million US dollars) to the salaries of the Palestinian Authority police and civil defense, the European Commission Technical Assistance Office said Wednesday.
The contribution will go towards paying the salaries of the PA police, as well as members of the civil defense, such as firefighters and rescue workers, a statement said. The contribution will be channeled through PEGASE, the European Union's mechanism for aid to the PA.
Maan also reports that the EU committed more than 289 million Euros in 2009 in support of the PA's recurrent costs through PEGASE. This makes the EU the largest single donor to the PA. Since 2007 it has provided total assistance to the PA averaging more than 500 million Euros annually.
