Suspicion of First Two Israeli Swine Flu Deaths
Reported: 21:01 PM - Jul/26/09
(IsraelNN.com) The Health Ministry announced on Sunday night that it is investigating the possibility that two people who died over the weekend were infected with the H1N1 swine-flu virus before they died. Until now, no deaths have been reported among the more than 1,300 cases diagnosed in Israel.
One of the victims was a heavy smoker in his mid 30's who died on Saturday, a day after he was admitted to Eilat's Yoseftal Hospital with pneumonia. The other was a two-year-old boy who was being treated for a chronic illness at Schneider children's hospital in Petach Tikva. Both were in the high risk group for the disease.
Update:
THERE YOU SEE! One down: it was just SCARE MONGERING. THE BABY DIED OF OTHER CAUSES, poor little one. BUT NO SWINE FLU HERE. SO FAR I INVESTIGATED THE POSSIBILITY THAT THE WHOLE THING IS A SCAM, AND I WAS RIGHT 50%! Now we need to wait for the next results. DO NOT LET THE MEDIA PLAY A NUMBER ON YOUR HEAD!
No Swine Flu in Case of Two-Year-Old

(IsraelNN.com) The Health Ministry reported Sunday night that the death of a two-year-old boy at Schneider Hospital in Petach Tikva over the weekend was not due to the H1N1 swine-flu virus, according to laboratory reports. The boy's chronic illness had put him into a group that was highly susceptible to the virus.
Laboratory results are still pending on a man in his mid 30's who died at Yoseftal Hospital in Eilat on Saturday, a day after being admitted for pneumonia. The man was described as a heavy smoker. A Health Department investigator said the man was in the highly susceptible group.
Update;
So they do have their first case; the big question is, how truthful are they? After the Munchhausen scandal, I do not put any lies or manipulations past them.
First Fatal Case of H1N1 in Israel Confirmed
Reported: 13:28 PM - Jul/27/09
(IsraelNN.com) The Health Ministry confirmed Monday that a 34-year old man from Eilat died Sunday of complications from H1N1 flu. The man had suffered from pneumonia and was a heavy smoker.
Health officials also said that over 1,500 cases of H1N1 have been diagnosed in Israel thus far. They estimated, however, that there were likely more that had not been reported.
NB( JPost):
Azran's family filed a police complaint against the hospital, charging that the man's death was a result of medical negligence.
I wonder why they think that. What could have happened at that hospital to make them suspicious that proper care was not administered?

Autopsy on body of Eilat resident, 35, who died Saturday reveals he was infected with virus. Family files malpractice claim against hospital for discharging man twice last week
(Oh Oh! Here is a red flag: didn't I tell you there is a good chance they are not telling the truth? DS)
"For some reason I feel this is a lie. The Health Ministry is investigating the hospital. We didn't get anything from the pathologist," said Shimon's brother, Avner Azran upon hearing of the ministry's estimates.
"When Shimon was hospitalized they didn't even tell us once that they suspect it's swine flu. They only raised the possibility after he died," he added.
The hospital Director General Avi Goldberg preferred not to comment on whether the doctors suspected Azran had contracted swine flu, and if so why was he not treated with the appropriate medication – Tamiflu.
"An investigative committee is currently being set up, and we will address every claim once we have the results," he added.
{DS: if the INVESTIGATIVE COMMITTEE OF HADASSAH HOSPITAL IS ANY INDICATION, DO NOT EXPECT TRUTH FROM THIS REPORT).
