Two Ga. officers suspended over Obama background check

In DeKalb County, Ga., police officers Ryan White and C.M. Route were suspended while their department investigates allegations that they used a county computer system in their squad car to run a background check on President Obama.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Secret Service notified the local department about the background check, conducted on July 20 about 4:40 a.m.

Public Safety Director William "Miz" Miller was not amused.

"I want everyone to know that we take these allegations very seriously," he said in a statement. "We expect our officers to adhere to professional standards and departmental policy. Furthermore, we do not and will not condone the inappropriate use of county equipment or resources."

TheObamaFile.com, an extensive information depot questioning Barack Obama's eligibility to hold the office of president, has vanished off the Internet, and its publisher believes the political end is also near for the commander in chief.

"This guy is coming down, there's nothing anybody can do about it," declares Parker Shannon, a 70-year-old retiree who has documented alleged violations by Obama for the past two years from his home in suburban Boston.

But Shannon stresses his decision to shut down the site had nothing to do with any kind of pressure from the government.

"The Obama camp didn't get to me. They can't," he told WND. "What got to me is my fellow Americans, the cheap bastards."

Tell Obama you don't buy his state-run media coverup! Join the campaign for truth!

"I'm disappointed," he said, explaining he lives on Social Security and a small amount of retirement money. "I just am tired of doing what I'm doing, and I get 50 e-mails a day telling me I'm a great patriot and they're praying for me. I don't want to hear it. Just send me $10."

Shannon says he spent 60 to 70 hours a week on his efforts and received only $240 in the entire two years despite displaying prominent donation buttons. The home page now just has a logo and the words, "Closed. Lack of support."

"There was no warning. This is freaky scary. " said Tony Licursi of Kennesaw, Ga., of the sudden shutdown. "There was more info there than [Roman historian] Tacitus could've ever dreamed."

Shannon says he decided to pull the plug on the Obama File after celebrating his 70th birthday last night, and he is now going to reassess what to do with his reams of information, including the possibility of writing a book.

"I've got more stuff on Obama than anybody on the planet. I'm not gonna let it go to waste," he said, adding, "I'm not doing it for free anymore."

Shannon's site didn't claim Obama is not an American citizen. In fact, it clearly stated, "Obama is a citizen. He's just not a natural born citizen."

The phrase "natural born citizen" is key, because the Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President."

Shannon featured charts and quotes from Congress on his page claiming a person needs to have both parents as U.S. citizens to be considered a "natural born" citizen, as opposed to just being born in the U.S., which would make someone a "native born" citizen.

This chart published by the Obama File attempts to clarify the differences between a citizen, a native-born citizen, and a natural-born citizen.

His site explained: "Obama is not a 'natural born citizen' because his father was a Kenyan national and a British subject. To be a natural born citizen, a person's parents must BOTH be citizens of the United States of America. Further, that person must be born in the United States."

Parker Shannon of the Obama File highlighted excerpts from the 1st U.S. Congress in his effort to demonstrate a natural born citizen must be the child of two U.S. citizens.

The precise meaning of the phrase is in legal dispute, with some constitutional scholars such as Prof. Jack Chin of the University of Arizona telling WND, "It doesn't have anything to do with who your parents are."

Chin, who argued 2008 Republican candidate John McCain was not a natural born citizen due to a glitch in the law when the senator was born in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936, believes children of foreigners who are not diplomats can actually be candidates for the highest office in America as long as they're born on U.S. soil.

"Absolutely," Chin said. "They can run for president."

Shannon also claims a widely circulated image of a Certification of Live Birth often touted by the White House and some members of the national media as proof Obama was born in Hawaii is a forgery.

He cites as just one example the use of the term "African" to describe the race of Obama's father on the COLB.

Parker Shannon of the Obama File says the use of the word "African" to denote the race of President Obama's father is evidence the Certification of Live Birth touted by the Obama camp is actually a forgery.

"There is a narrow list of [acceptable] words, none of which are 'African,' which is what is on the Certification of Live Birth. Whatever [expletive deleted] liberal counterfeited the thing couldn't bring himself to say 'Negro.'"

Indeed, a 1961 summary of U.S. vital statistics by the Department of Health, Education and Welfare (now known as Health and Human Services) indicates:

Births in the United States in 1961 are classified for vital statistics into white, Negro, American Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Aleut, Eskimo, Hawaiian and Part-Hawaiian (combined), and "other nonwhite." The category "white" includes, in addition to persons reported as "white," those reported as Mexican or Puerto Rican. With one exception, a reported mixture of Negro with any other race is included in the Negro group; other mixed parentage is classified according to the race of the nonwhite parent and mixtures of nonwhite races to the race of the father.

Many people remain unaware that someone doesn't even have to be born in Hawaii to receive a COLB, as those birth documents can be granted to children born out of state or even America.

To date, Obama has steadfastly refused to release his long-form hospital-generated birth certificate including details such as the name of his birth hospital and attending physician.

But his original birth certificate is not the only document at issue. WND has reported that among the documentation not yet available for Obama are his kindergarten records, Punahou school records, Occidental College records, Columbia University records, Columbia thesis, Harvard Law School records, Harvard Law Review articles,  scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, passport, medical records, files from his years as an Illinois state senator, Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records and adoption records.

Shannon expects the process of removing all pages from his site to take several days, but he expects the information revealed to this point will lead to the political demise of Obama.

"It's out in the open now. It's viral, as they say, on the Internet," he said. "The game's afoot, there's enough guys out there that have entered the fray. Nature will take it's course.

"I just wonder when the world is gonna discover the son of a b-tch is a communist."

Within three hours of WND posting this article, Shannon posted a few paragraphs of explanation on the Obama File.

He concluded by stating: "This isn't about money. I do not want any contributions at this point. If you send me any money, I will just send it back – and I'll pay the PayPal fee – costing me more money.

"I realize I sound bitchy, but I'm discouraged – yeah, and angry. You want me to fight the fight, but you don't want to give me any bullets. I'm done. I'm going to the beach."
