Very fine point - except for your first line, which is unacceptable lashon hara. At least if you would have explained what you're talking about, then maybe you can claim that there is an important to'elet. But as it is, you stam maligned him. A retraction is in order (and please leave my name out). Thanks
My response:
This writer is correct in that I should have explained the reason for my statement clearly, so here it is:
I am saying that Rav Amar is guilty, because EVERYBODY IN GOVERNMENT, INCLUDING THE CHIEF RABBIS, KNEW WHAT IS GOING ON, YET THEY CHOSE TO REMAIN SILENT. IS THIS NOT GUILT? AM I REALLY GUILTY OF LASHON HARA in this case?
I will be happy to retract my words, once the chief rabbis LEVEL with Am Yisrael about what's been going on, instead of playing the silence game required of them for their position - even resigning if necessary; and once they CONDEMN the government for kowtowing to the pope the way they do.

It is written ( I believe in PIRKE AVOT) "Woe to the generation that must
judge its judges"! Kol Hakavod for calling for a day of prayer and fasting
which should be the province of our 'rabbis' and 'leaders'.
May H-ASHEM ITBARACH Bless you and all Jews who ,in accordance
with our HOLY TORAH, are working to prevent this great HILLUL HASHEM
connected with the pope's vist.
Please keep me informed about this burning issue.

Why not suggest to the "Sanhedrin" that they formally and officially
endorse mass prayers for the downfall of the Pope, the Church of
Rome, and all their wicked designs, and fix this call to prayer, as
you suggested, for Pesach Sheni? Or, at least, during the Pope's visit, may the evil decree be nullified!....

DON'T PRAY FOR THE DOWNFALL OF THE POPE, UNLESS YOU WISH TO UNLEASH WORLDWIDE POGROMS AGAINST THE JEWS, HEAVEN FORBID.
PRAY FOR DELIVERANCE.

HAMAN AND ACHASHVEROSH PLOTTING TOGETHER.
PRAYER IS THE RIGHT APPROACH, EVEN THE POPE UNDERSTANDS THAT.
GO TELL NETANYAHU!
