Israel to Continue Encouraging Russian Immigration

(IsraelNN.com) The cabinet decided Sunday morning to dedicate tens of millions of shekels towards encouraging immigration from the former Soviet Union. The program includes housing and employment assistance.

Immigration Absorption minister Eli Aflalo congratulated the government on its decision. "The government of Israel took a historic step today by creating a new wave of immigration from the former Soviet Union for the first time since the early 1990s."
