A disgrace: the state of Israel spending over $10 million, among others to "upgrade highways" for his highness -our roads aren't good enough for this pope... I could think of many ways WE could use these $10 million: education, hunger, tax breaks...



43 Million Shekels Budgeted for Papal Visit

(IsraelNN.com) The cabinet approved a 43-million-shekel budget on Sunday for the visit of Pope Benedict XVI in May.

The money is for upgrading highways that the pontiff will travel on, as well as the massive security preparations that the army has to make, in coordination with the Shin Bet security service.
