Fayyad to Transfer $50 Million to Gaza

(IsraelNN.com) Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad announced Saturday he will transfer $50 million in emergency aid to Gaza. Fayyad said he would take the money from the PA's current budget.

PA officials will meet with international donors in Egypt on March 2 to raise funds to rebuild the Hamas terrorist-controlled region. The United Nations is compiling a report on damage in the area after the end of Israel's three-week counterterrorism Operation Cast Lead.
