Barak Calls for More PA Arab Workers

(IsraelNN.com) Defense Minister Ehud Barak called Thursday for Israel to issue another 5,000 permits allowing Palestinian Authority Arabs to work in construction within pre-1967 Israel.  The move would be part of a series of "good-will gestures" meant to support the Palestinian Authority.

Other gestures to the PA will include the removal of roadblocks in Judea and Samaria, the transfer of armored vehicles to PA forces, the construction of a new neighborhood in Ramallah, and the deployment of PA forces in the city of Jenin.
