British Minister for the Middle East Praises Barak

(IsraelNN.com) British Minister for the Middle East, Kim Howells praised Defense Minister Ehud Barak Tuesday following the announcement during US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's visit on Monday that Israel would relax security restrictions on Palestinian Authority Arabs.

"This demonstrates the importance of the ongoing discussions at a high level between the Palestinian Authority and the Israeli government," read the statement released by Howells' office. However, he added, much more yet remained to be done on both sides.
