Government Okays Suits against PA for Suicide Bombings

(IsraelNN.com) The Foreign Ministry has ruled that the Palestinian Authority (PA) is not a state government and therefore can be sued for damages in terrorist attacks. The High Court last year told the ministry to decide on the matter, and the decision clears the way for 55 pending lawsuits to proceed. PA foreign minister Riad Malki rejected the ruling and warned it might jeopardize the already fragile negotiations with Israel.

Relatives of victims of 131 suicide bombings during the Oslo War the past seven years are suing the PA for damages.
