by (IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is trying to bring the Hareidi-religious United Torah Judaism (UTJ) party into the government in anticipation of the Yisrael Beiteinu party leaving.
Olmert met with UTJ's MK Avraham Ravitz just before US President George W. Bush visited, suprising Ravitz, who says he has been trying to get a meeting with the PM for quite a while.
Olmert promised at the meeting to budget 173 million shekels toward Hareidi-religious yeshivas and institutions.
