Two Palestinian terrorist attacks in Jerusalem and West Bank leave 7 Israelis injured, two critically January 24, 2008, 11:07 PM (GMT+02:00) DEBKAfile's military sources report Thursday night, Jan. 24, Palestinian gunmen opened fire on an Israeli border guard checkpoint near Shuafat on the old road to Pisgat Zeev, Jerusalem. Two of the border guards were seriously hurt, one critically. The two gunmen escaped before large Israeli forces arrived on the scene of attack and set up a manhunt. At Gush Etzion, southeast of Jerusalem, two Palestinian gunmen burst into the Makor Haim yeshiva and injured three Israelis, one seriously. In a shoot-out in one of the buildings, the two gunmen were shot dead.

(IsraelNN.com) An Israeli man was critically wounded on Thursday night in a shooting attack in northern Jerusalem.  A 20-year-old woman was seriously wounded in the same attack.

At approximately the same time, terrorists managed to infiltrate the Judea town of Gush Etzion.  The terrorists entered the local yeshiva, where they stabbed two men.  One of the men was moderately wounded and the other was lightly wounded.  The terrorists were shot and killed.
