Anybody heard an inside track of what happened at that meeting? Were veiled threats made against "'settlers"? Any blackmail? It would be interesting, and important, to find out. If you heard, please share your info here. Thank you DS



Quartet Rep Meets with Yesha Council Head

(IsraelNN.com) For the first time, a member of the international diplomatic elite involved in brokering a deal between Israel and the Palestinian Authority has met with officials of the Yesha council. On Thursday, the head of the Council, Danny Dayan, met with Tony Blair, former British Prime Minister and official representative of the Quartet to the Middle East. Blair had requested the meeting to hear the "other" side of the story regarding Jewish towns in Judea and Samaria.

Also attending the meeting, which took place at the American Colony Hotel, were Mks Gideon Saar (Likud), Effie Eitam (NU-NRP), and Otniel Schneller (Kadima).
