Following yesterday's urgent appeal ( repeated below, with the original story that appeared on Ynet, - and don't forget the "POGROM" accusation by Olmert, the maniacal hatred against Hevron residents by the leftist media, and the perverted justice in the courts), here are some responses that I received, and would like to share with you.
1. First of all, and very important, the BOSTONER REBBE, a very respectable Rebbe, has come out with a statement of outrage at the false accusations of POGROM against Mr Braude ... see below. That is very good, and a solid basis on which to base our struggle on.
2.One person suggested that the main thing is to get Mr Braude the very best lawyer available. Frankly , I have no idea if his lawyer is good or not. What this person suggested was to possibly start a campaign among the FOLLOWERS OF THE BOSTONER REBBE, to see if we can COLLECT FUNDS TO HELP HIM HIRE THE VERY BEST CRIMINAL LAWYER AVAILABLE IN ISRAEL.
ANYBODY WHO WOULD HAVE AN IDEA HOW TO PROCEED WITH THIS WOULD BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED.
I CALLED A COUSIN OF MINE WHO IS A FOLLOWER OF THE REBBE IN CANADA, BUT WASN'T ABLE TO REACH HIM. THIS IS A LEAD THAT COULD BE PURSUED BY ANYBODY WHO HAS THE DESIRE AND THE MOTIVATION TO DO SO.

I know this man, Mr Braude, very well: he is the husband of Rachel, a veteran front-desk receptionist at Kupat Cholim Meuchedet( medical clinic) in Kiryat Arba, where I worked as a doctor. I know Rachel very well, she helped me numerous times, getting lab results, calling for appointments,etc. She is a very diligent , kind, and capable worker, an Olah from the FSU. She has VERY WELL BEHAVED AND TALENTED CHILDREN, and her husband is a WELL-BALANCED, NON-VIOLENT, STUDIOUS MAN, also an Oleh, who would never deliberately get involved in a fight. I have given him a ride numerous times in my car, and I can vouch for his character.
What is happening here is a tragedy. This man is NOT a criminal, he is NOT a danger to society.
Knowing her and her children, Rachel must be in utter despair right now. She is not a very strong woman, and as far as I know her, she doesn't have the emotional tools for dealing with a situation such as this. She is not even a political animal: just a very hard- working mother, totally devoted to her children and her work. This is simply awful, so unfair, and I am worried for her health and her mental health.
Please help protest, and make a lot of noise to have him released as soon as possible. This man should never be sitting in jail.

I suggest that as you know them, figure out where they are near, one or two sites, and we will send them one or two places to call.
We need to tell them a fairly short and specific message.
Of course, they can send it on to get more callers.
But a follow up act is needed.
I suggest that the Consul or embassy be asked for a meeting with local USA Jews, for example.
This should be done with senators too on these things.
Anyhow, if you send back a geographical site, I can send back a suggestion or so of where to target the calls.
