Fwd: largest mishloach manot for tsvia sariel-משלוח מנות ענק למען צביה שריאל

What would you do if your daughter were in jail without having done anything?

Zvia Sariel, aged 18, from Elon Moreh, has been imprisoned in Neveh Tirza Jail for more than three months, accused of evicting Arabs who came to pick olives in the settlement.

During the last hearing the Arab complainers requested to cancel the complaint. Judge Navah Bechor ignored this and ordered Zvia, who is totally innocent of any crime, to be held for an additional month in jail, until the next hearing in Nissan (April).

This could happen to any of our children. They have not yet recovered from the eviction of Jews from Gush Katif and Northern Samaria, the pogrom in Amona, the violent destruction of outposts, and the evictions carried out on Shabbat and Festivals from Homesh. They are distressed by what is happening in the south, and by the way both Jewish honor and they themselves are being trampled underfoot.

There is no penal law regarding non-recognition of the Courts, and certainly not one imposed in such severity.

Zvia is being ill-treated in jail. She is kept together with criminals, and is being denied basic human rights. She is kept for long periods of solitary confinement.

In order to arouse the general public and the media we are organizing sending Purim mishloach manot to Zvia in jail, that will contain the largest number of items in such a parcel that has ever been sent, as well as the number of communities participating in it. It will certainly achieve a place in the Guinness Book of Records.

We should be grateful if you were to send a suitable Purim parcel to Zvia. In the next few days her friends will travel throughout the country collecting the parcel, and with the aid of the Almighty we shall see the turnaround on Purim.
